Krafton’s third-quarter 2023 financial results demonstrate a period of steady growth as the company executes a strategic transition toward becoming a diversified global publisher. The organization reported quarterly sales of ₩450.3 billion ($347.1 million), representing a 3.8% year-over-year increase. Operating profit rose significantly by 30.9% to ₩189.3 billion ($145.9 million), though net profit experienced a slight decline of 6.6% compared to the previous year.
The mobile segment remains a primary engine for revenue, growing 9% year-over-year to ₩309.1 billion. This performance was bolstered by the continued success of PUBG: Battlegrounds and the effective reintroduction of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), which has regained its status as a leading title in the Indian market. PUBG: Battlegrounds also maintained its position as a core revenue driver, contributing ₩133.3 billion to the quarterly total.
To sustain long-term expansion, the company has outlined an aggressive development pipeline, targeting the release of over 32 titles between 2024 and 2026. Key upcoming projects include a mobile adaptation of Dark and Darker, the life simulation game Project inZOI, the extraction shooter Project Black Budget, and a new entry in the Subnautica franchise. This growth strategy is supported by a robust infrastructure of 12 first-party studios and ongoing investments in third-party developers, such as People Can Fly and Gardens. By diversifying its portfolio across various genres and platforms, the publisher aims to solidify its competitive standing in the global gaming market.
