The company's share price closed at €4.73 on July 23, 2026.
Ubisoft’s financial performance for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026, covering the period from April to June 2026, reflects a significant downturn across key metrics. The company reported total revenue of €268.2 million, representing a 13.7% decline compared to the same period in the previous year. Net bookings also fell by 9.2% to €255.8 million. Market reaction to these results was negative, with the company’s share price dropping 14.18% to €4.73 by the close of trading on July 23, 2026.
The revenue decline is largely attributed to a high base effect, as the company lacked a major game release during the quarter comparable to the previous year’s performance. Consequently, the vast majority of revenue—86.4%, or €221 million—was derived from the back-catalog, though income from these older titles still saw a 15.1% year-over-year decrease. Digital sales remained the primary revenue driver at €206.2 million, down 17.6% from the prior year.
Geographically and by platform, North America remained the company's largest market, contributing 47% of total revenue. Console platforms accounted for 46% of revenue, followed by PC at 27% and mobile at 19%. Despite the broader decline, the mobile title Invincible: Guarding the Globe achieved a record-breaking quarter, bolstered by the release of the fourth season of its associated animated series. Additionally, pre-orders for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced generated €15 million during the quarter, providing a minor offset to the overall downward trend.
