North Carolina State University will be the venue for these collegiate esports championship events.
Riot Games has announced that the 2025 College League of Legends and College Valorant Championship Grand Finals will be held in Raleigh, North Carolina. The event is scheduled for May 31 and June 1, 2025, and will be hosted at North Carolina State University. This initiative is a collaborative effort involving Riot Games’ collegiate division, UNIVERSITY Esports NA, the tourism organization Visit Raleigh, tournament organizer GGTech, and naming rights partner ExitLag.
The selection of Raleigh as the host city follows previous successful Riot esports events in the region, including the 2023 LCS Spring Finals. For North Carolina State University, the event serves as a platform to provide students with professional networking and experiential learning opportunities within the esports industry. While financial terms of the partnership remain undisclosed, the event highlights the growing role of North Carolina as a central hub for North American collegiate esports.
The tournament structure involves a modified double-elimination bracket that begins in mid-April. Top-seeded teams will start in the upper bracket, while lower-seeded teams will compete in the lower bracket. The process will culminate in the in-person Grand Finals at the end of May, where the top two teams from each respective game title will compete for the 2025 championship titles.
