The event will be held from October 22–24, 2027, and will be managed by the newly formed promoter NEO.
Evo France is relocating from Nice to Paris for its 2027 edition, marking a strategic shift in the management and scaling of the European fighting game circuit. The event will be organized by New Esports Org. (NEO), a recently established French promoter, under the ownership of the Saudi-backed company RTS. The move is primarily driven by capacity constraints at the Palais des Expositions in Nice, which organizers claim has reached its maximum potential for the tournament.
Data regarding the event’s performance reveals a complex growth trajectory. While total registrations on the start.gg platform increased by 15% between 2025 and 2026—rising from 3,498 to 4,010—this growth was driven by the addition of new titles rather than the event's core games. Notably, entries for all five games that appeared in both years declined, with the anchor title, Street Fighter 6, experiencing a 36% drop in participation. The 2026 edition reported nearly 20,000 visitors, though these figures remain unverified.
The transition to Paris follows a two-year tenure in Nice, which served as a major partner for the event without formalizing a multiyear contract. The financial structure of the tournament remains opaque, as neither the city nor the organizers have disclosed specific funding amounts or the division of risk between NEO and RTS. As the event prepares for its 2027 debut in Paris, the primary challenge for the new promoter will be to leverage a larger venue to revitalize interest in the circuit’s core titles, which have shown signs of declining engagement despite the overall expansion of the event's portfolio.
