The Fortnite Battle Royale Global Championship and the Rocket League World Championship are scheduled for Dickies Arena.
The international tournament organizer BLAST has announced that two major esports championship events will be hosted at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, in September 2024. This initiative represents a strategic collaboration between BLAST, Epic Games, the Fort Worth Sports Commission, and event promotion firm C3 Presents to bring high-profile competitive gaming to the region.
The Fortnite Battle Royale Global Championship is scheduled for September 7–8, featuring 50 of the world’s top competitive duos vying for a total prize pool of $2 million. Following this, the Rocket League World Championship will take place from September 10–15, with the final stages occurring between September 13 and 15. This tournament will feature the top 16 international teams competing for a prize pool of $1.165 million.
These events are a direct result of a multi-year partnership established in January 2024, in which BLAST secured the operational rights for Fortnite and Rocket League esports from Epic Games. By selecting a major venue like the Dickies Arena, the organizers aim to leverage local promotional support to enhance the visibility and reach of these global competitive circuits.
