Summary

Riot Games has announced that Paris, France, will host its premier Teamfight Tactics (TFT) esports competition in 2025. This development follows the company’s strategy of hosting large-scale, open-bracket LAN events for its auto-battler title, mirroring the format of the 2024 TFT Macao Open. While specific dates and logistical details for the Paris event remain undisclosed, the announcement signals a continued commitment to global, high-profile tournament experiences for the game’s competitive community.

The decision to expand the event series to Paris underscores the importance of the TFT Macao Open as a benchmark for the game's competitive ecosystem. The Macao event, which serves as the primary model for the upcoming 2025 tournament, features a 512-competitor open-bracket format, an immersive "Into the Arcane" fan experience, developer Q&A sessions, and live co-streaming opportunities. These events are designed to integrate competitive play with community engagement, offering in-game rewards and interactive elements for both onsite attendees and remote viewers.

Financial stakes for these major tournaments remain significant, as evidenced by the TFT Macao Open, which features a $300,000 total prize pool with $100,000 awarded to the champion. By maintaining this scale and scope for the 2025 Paris event, Riot Games aims to sustain momentum for the title within the broader esports landscape. The announcement serves as a strategic update for stakeholders and fans, confirming that the developer intends to keep the auto-battler at the forefront of its global tournament circuit throughout the coming year.
