Like uh but this like in my opinion this is the best one I've seen yet. At least as an attempt rather than just like go try it yourself.
Why are you shaking your head? What do you mean?
No.
Why no?
Is this really the super big innovation? I mean come on man.
It's better than nothing.
It is. Yeah it is. It is.
It's better than outright copy and it jumps on the UA trends right that we know.
It's the dice [music] drops made of golden coins. Jack up designs worlds chasing the sky with the two and a half gamers [music] the midnight crew talking UA adverts and game design too mate feel shaku bringing the insight we're rocking [music] those vibes till the early daylight master eyes on the prize tracking data through the cyerspace [music] skies feeling stacks like a wizard in disguise lift us to the high and gamers talking [music] smack slow hockey sick got your backs are beautiful they like the way click it fast don't delayhu Uh-huh. Uh-huh.
Uh-huh. [music] Uh-huh.
Yeah. I mean, yeah. Yeah. But next month it's fine. It's okay. It's okay. We can Yeah, we can.
Hello.
Hello. Do you Do you hear the sound? You hear the sound?
You hear the voice?
The the the thing keeps moving. Why is it moving? who software. Oh yeah, it's softer. So hello everybody. My name is Matthew Lanchic.
I'm Felix Broberg
and I'm Yakub
and we are your hosts and we are going to talk about soft launch sonar as you might have understood from the very beginning and from the intro. So yeah, let's just dive dive into it because it's going to be a [ __ ] ton of stuff and I'm already hating it. So let's let's do it.
Hating it. You love this episode.
You don't need to be cool all the time, mate. All the time. Let's Let's
No, it's been a while. Oh, by the way, thanks for PGC, guys. You You were
great.
Oh, yeah. Yeah,
that was really good.
Everyone got sick, but
I was okay. Yeah.
Oh, really?
I was okay. Yeah, it was fine.
Great weather.
Anyway,
one um week.
So, we're going to start a little bit unorthodox here. So, there are these two games that I want to kind of just highlight. Which one is Animo from Fun Plus? It's this very high production kind of Pokemonish game basically that I think it's going to be released this year. If I understand we don't have an official release date still yet, but there was a closed beta last seen on sorry it's already now the second closed beta is now from January 23rd. So you can go and play it. Yeah, that that's why I have it here. Is these one of these games that's going to like I won't understand it's going to make a billion in like a month and it's going to be set in a video game store.
The problem is that as I see it is some kind of like combination of like Genshin/Palworld/ Pokemon SL whatever stuff like that. I
haven't really Yeah. SL honestly I care about these games more where they actually you know successful and then we need to talk about them honestly because there's so many of them being released. So I'll I'll get to it afterwards. It just looks extremely high production quality. You see what's what's happening here. This is definitely not your
he turns into po
uh no think. But first person 4x would be amazing. I I want to play that [snorts] at some point.
You should make this in a Pokémon version. This is what everyone wants.
A Pokemon is unfortunately extremely slow and the most it can do is just sue these guys if they see some similarities which will most probably happen. Uh so yeah, but you see how kind of as I said high budget this thing is. It has full-fledged combat. So it's not your like Stardew Valley whatever or like PL world for instance. P worlds can of course not that polished because powers doesn't have like a chance studio behind it. Even if you go to the website like you see how how it looks pretty much the pre-reg website.
Yeah. Because that really that really
means something. Last time we were discussing million or multi-million dollar game and it had like a blank landing page.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Of course. This means nothing actually. Of course. Uh it just means that they throw a [ __ ] ton of money on these things. So that's that's there. Definitely. I'm still kind of puzzled a little bit to be honest like why this is coming from Flus because this is Flus being the predominantly Forex strateg strategy company and this seems to be as I said kind of Pokemon something something to forex I don't know but I'm still not that let's say convinced sold
yeah sold sold yet I guess I I would need to play it but didn't have like that much time to can join the beta but uh it's heavy I'm saying like the environment against them is heavy because there are lots of these games. It's just not that like Pokemon is going to release Pokemon Stadium this year. Also, again, Power World is stepping stuff up. There are multitudes of these kind of monster games coming up kind of soon. So, it's not going to be as easy
as if they would release it two years ago. But yeah, let's see. Moving on. There's Petit Planet.
Wait, wait, wait. It was mobile or Steam or Oh, hello. Hello there. I didn't see you. Thank you very much for coming to this episode. Visit pvxpartners.com and uh see how they can help you grow your game faster and stronger. Don't wait. Go to pvxpartners.com. Both
if I understand should be both.
Okay. Yeah. Because it's pre- rage and
then there's still wish list. So
PC mobile console.
Okay. Okay.
Yeah. Yeah. It's ancient style crossplatform launch. So that's why. Okay. Pat Planet cosmic life simulation game by one and only Hoyo worse.
Jesus Christ.
So
this looks like a sun.
Absolutely looks like Yakubo.
A little bit.
Does it look like a little Jakubo?
Yeah. Little JR.
So this has some kind of a cosmic feel to it. I guess all of their games has a little bit of a cosmic feel to it, but it's basically very close to something like Animal Crossing or I guess Ink Stardew Valley or something similar. So, this is a cozy game if I understand correctly. There is no combat in it. There is no like PvP and all these other things. This is a cozy game and it seems extremely again high budget as always. Uh because this is Hoyo worst. It seems they're they're moving finally moving away from their like usual setup of their recycled gacha based meta and combat heavy core which would be the
turn-based or action based or whatever they have there. So finally a new game type is pretty much going to join their portfolio. We seen that the coy game genre is being kind of on the rise lately with games like Hartopia which you can find on the channel already reviewed which is making something like 7 and a half million a day already. is predominantly female. Just saying. But uh yeah, we'll see.
No surprise.
But this game doesn't really seem to be that much female based. I would say this should be unisex to begin with or I would do it definitely like that.
Yeah. Okay.
But but let's see. It's going to be again very nice to watch what happens here because we again don't know the release date and the last closed beta if I understand was on November 7 and the test ended on December 1st. So last month basically
what's a good outcome for a game like this? Like
yeah success success like is it
20 month 20 mil a month? Anything below
that it's terrible
for hoy overs for sure. Just look at the production quality man like you need to pay these people and they are chronically known for having giant content treadmills in their games. So I'm guessing that this will just turn out events and live ops like there's no tomorrow. So Genshin has I think 200 million maintenance yearly cost just just to put this into context. Yes.
200 mil
200 mil just to run it. So that gives you you know hoy over is what 6k people now. So there okay moving on some more traditional stuff which I couldn't find on YouTube. So we just have a short
right
tycoon tycoon. You mean you mean?
No it's very important. Isle
what is this? Moon active.
No,
is another social casino of course.
And this is Century Games.
Yes.
No,
because why not?
No, because it now just Yeah, just makes all the sense because Yeah, because it's
like look at the [ __ ] roller coaster there and then the the the raccoon right there and what else could it be these days when you started with roller coaster tycoon? What else it could be? This is brilliant.
And who else could it be,
man? Like it's just every game is going to be Century Games in like 10 years.
Yeah.
Based on the current trends. Yes.
Yeah. What you expect? Yeah. Exactly. It's just like look do you I mean are you are you surprised because like they have also so many like people in the company and then what
but it fits their setup man. It fits their setup because again it's this bait and switch UA on boarding fake ass thing which they are specialized in not only product but also on UA.
So again it fits perfectly.
Yeah, they've done it already million times.
It would be actually very strange if there wouldn't be here this category. So because this category is pretty much coming from their own term of forex anyway. So that's there. Then we have a few games from the take two portfolio which aren't really rollic but there are
some stuff just interesting puzzles. I guess there will be lots of puzzles. Okay, so there's place and trace 3D. Yeah,
this is not Rolic though.
This is not Rolic. I think none of the games that I'm showing is rollick. It's just sitting on a take two portfolio. But yeah, that's there. So this is pretty much a jigsaw 3D puzzle.
Man, this is so complicated. If you watching this, this won't convert well.
This is hard level 11.
So just saying
no, this isn't
to mean state. Yeah,
that was Oh, coffee machine.
Yeah, I'm with you, Montas. I don't think so.
Easier levels there.
It's not It's not about easy levels. How can you even imagine like what are you building or trying to put together like what the [ __ ] is this
thing arcade machine?
I think it's because you can turn it around also during the thing. I don't know if you just Yeah, can do that.
Egypt statue.
Yeah. So this is coming [snorts] from UNCO soft which um I don't know what's that but again it's a portfolio company in the
probably one of these Turkish
maybe. Then we have worthy tear journey
which if you know and we're going to cover that soon is a play on solidar associations the big game that is currently exploding which we'll get to it and this is just again an iteration of that of course because they need to do it. Then we have harvest gem and we are getting to the usual rollic bench stuff which
yeah but this was kind of already in certain way built
like half of these games that I will show
but this is this is basically township creative. Oh yeah, like
pretty much
seriously with all the Yeah. Okay.
I'm thinking a lot of games that they are trying to soft launch are basically just like you know the creative works. Let's let's build it. Let's see if it works. You know,
and I'm getting all these like questions like
it's like hyper casual all over.
Yeah. But like why why don't we build the game that's in the in the ads and it's like you know what? Because the game doesn't have a spend dep so you can wipe your ass with it. That's it. It's never going to work
anyway. So that's there and Do you think that puzzle is becoming the new hyper casual?
Puzzle is becoming the new hyper casual
for sure. And the last one I let you decide what's the rules of this. This is quite interesting. So this is called uh dice. No, no, no, no, no, no. It's not not yet or Yeah, I don't think so. It's Yatsi.
Oh, you need to you need to have six in
to put it into the
My dyslexia brain is not loving that. Yeah, it was quite original idea.
Sure.
Yeah, it's very
super easy to understand.
Yeah. So that's why soft launch things.
I mean, sure. Of course.
But you know, like it has it has dice. So I mean that's like half of the UA.
Yeah. Exactly.
Solution.
That's my guess why they even testing it.
Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Yeah.
Let's see. It wouldn't be a nice sonar if there wouldn't be a new game from microphone which is
I wonder what this game is going to be. It's a [ __ ] same game. Where is Procastle?
And I don't know if like I'm crazy or like I was like, "Oh, so then there there will be like I don't know hidden
object in it or whatever or something." No, it's the [laughter] exact same thing all over again.
So I mean, wouldn't you just build like if your game is making building money printers?
Exactly. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. Exactly. That's that's what that's what I wanted to say. I don't care. Yeah. money print white, green, yellow, purple. Sure, why not?
Like the only change is literally the winter theme.
Yeah, [laughter]
maybe it works better for freezing families.
That's what I would say. That's exactly what I would say. Winter theme. I freezing families. Oh, yeah. That's sounds about right.
I I would really like to believe that there's something that I'm missing here like why they're doing it or what or just like it's so
You just said it. You just said it.
Yeah. I'm just printing money with it. I don't know. Anyway,
do you have do you want to know do you want to guess how much AP's Gossip Harbor did in the last 30 days?
82 million days. So 60 60 70
no 2.5
already 2.5
86 million in APS in the last 30 days plus probably like probably like 400k a day in ad revenue as well because there's 8.9 million DAU.
Okay.
It's huge. Yeah, the scale is Yeah. Crazy.
And it still goes up.
I mean, yeah. I mean, that that thing is going to start competing with the match threes, right?
It already is.
Yeah.
Like it's it's 90 million
click match is going to be steamrolled over by match like merch basically.
Not not every merch though. Not every merch.
Every merch. But yeah. Anyway, on we start with our favorite. Who is coping pixel flow with moon active with jelly busters?
Everyone.
Yeah. Exactly.
Yes. Yeah. Duh. So, so that's just puzzle game and there will be different copies and different iterations. This is just like the the pure copy I think like haven't seen anything really into it
that the biggest copies like the biggest question we're going to get next conference we go to is like are you
copying pixel flow or are you copying solitary associations?
Yeah. Yeah. I think for both it's too late already.
Oh yeah. Oh like it was too late like two months ago.
This was soft launched on January 14. Yeah, guys. Yeah,
there will be better spins on this. You'll see. Hang on.
What's the strategy here? Just let like help me understand.
What's the strategy?
You You're a Moon Active. You have a Coin Master. You have Travel Town.
You make pretty much 100 mil a month.
Yeah. Dominating basically, right? And then then you start soft launching these random games copying Pixel Flow. Like what's the angle? Like what are they trying to achieve? copy because Pixlow is so exceptionally like unique in its scale of like hitting that million plus so so fast. Everybody thinks that they can get piece of the cake because samba did already like the ammo bear guys they already doing 170k a day I think
but okay back in oc October you know
November October was the launch of the game.
Yeah so and it's like it's it's January so this was extremely fast like you already missed the train here.
Yeah. So, so that's that's my point. Like why the [ __ ] are you doing this?
Like I would do this with an iteration like a heavy iteration.
Exact. Yeah, exactly. That was my other point. Like if you're copying one to one and you're anyway late and you have two games which are killing it, then this is just like a joke.
I don't know. Maybe they would have like we can, you know, beat it on UA play. I don't know.
Dude, you tell me.
I mean, I'm asking. I'm trying to understand and I'm
Hey guys, maybe maybe it's something really simple. Maybe like the CEO's son is in the company and he just wanted to copy a game like I don't know.
I mean
I don't think so. Not in Moon Active.
Yeah, exactly.
I know. I know. I'm making a joke, guys.
And this looks pretty pretty well done, honestly.
I'm not saying it's not well done.
Yeah, I know. I know. I'm saying the same thing like you're too late. Like with the exact copy, you're too late. So,
just help me understand because I was already kind of trying to understand
this when we talked about it in the previous soft launch on where it was like, oh, why why are they making these like small games? Like what's changed?
I don't know. Maybe it's just so easy to ship like you know easy to copy than usual. This is not Forex. So
this this is not I mean is this going to be anywhere near just travel town?
No.
Exactly.
Like you're already like 20 games late. So
So why why don't you even just bother with this?
I don't know. I don't know. Let's see.
Cuz you have teams that have nothing to do and you just try to [ __ ] always
What is this? What is this?
They said I couldn't make ads without the dev team. They said I wouldn't understand the tech. [music] Guess what? I just made a fully working gorgeous top to play while [music] eating noodles and watching trash TV and taking care of my daughter. All thanks to playable [music] makeup. No code, no stress, no sheep [music] sherlock.
Yeah. Guess the company.
This is what's using the same same
mascot all over the all the
same. I mean,
yeah, it is. They have it in other puzzle games on the portfolio.
That's the Super Play.
No,
no, I don't know.
Spike Spike game. You should have gone.
Yeah, I I didn't see this guy in any other spy games.
Of course, in Cube Masters, he's there.
That's true. I I haven't played Cube Masters.
Yeah. So, this I think kind of closes the circle because Spike has been doing everything except match three and finally.
So,
yeah. Okay,
I'm sorry guys, but like we did the episode and there's not a single match three game not coming from the big four that scaled past 40 million lifetime revenue in the last 5 years. So that's that's my verdict here pretty much.
So basically what Jakob is saying there is you don't want to get into match three.
Yes. Like I'm just like I I would
don't you think we we said it about match villains as well?
Match villains. Let me check how they're doing. I mean
200k a day something if I understand.
What? Really? Be more. Okay, Felix, check.
Yeah, I am checking.
Yeah, but like honestly, even if this makes whatever 400k a day, it's just will be excruciatingly hard to get there.
Two.
Told you.
Still not bad.
Still pretty good.
It's not bad. The question is, you know, if this is the thing that you want to get into
lifetime revenue is 40 million.
But what whatever chance you have like all the other games are super small.
Yeah. like cube busters and all like blitz busters and whatever busters
you like you know here you have a chance to have a small game there you have a chance to win the lottery it's it's a strategy
yeah but you're forgetting like they have actually experience to do this
I know keep in mind peak is a click to match company not I remember that from our match we did the epic video
the experience or they just hire people I wouldn't do this if I was there but anyway
you would you wouldn't do anything when Mr. I would do a lot of things like um I would do that.
If you Okay, I I give you money right now. You launch a game. What game would
you build
for the West? Um for the West. For sure. Immediately. I'm telling this all the time consistently for last year.
Yeah. Because like every every time someone asks like, "Oh, so what game should I make?" First of all, don't make a game. Go fishing or whatever. Yeah. Don't make a game. Yeah.
Touch grass.
[ __ ] hell. Jesus.
Grand games. So there's the obligatory block out
game.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. To do it. Yeah. This this was inevitable.
That is a bit too late.
Yeah. This is coming end of September. We did the last start of September.
Okay.
We had this discussion when we had the stumble event already. There was some heat for this because of this game.
Let's see. Let's see. Like uh again, I think it's a little bit too late. Again, I would try to spin it a little bit more. Some
It looks good. How?
Huh? how
uh I don't know maybe this whole like shredding mechanic can be done differently or you know you could have some bench or
whatever is now missing missing the mark
with like all these Lego blocks because I mean like it was already done before so like why why the [ __ ] you do this the same thing just change this do something innovative on that dead
or maybe get actually the Lego IP
or maybe get actually the yeah which is also pretty pretty late because then what what would that help you already have a game which
what you tell me that this game with Lego IP wouldn't have giant reach.
Yeah, because people especially old people recognize the Lego on the block.
No, but I mean actual Lego IP like not just the blocks but like the things that Lego has pretty much all the IPs. It's like a IP amoeba. So
yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Whatever.
Maybe.
Moving on. Voodoo. So I don't know what's happening with their portfolio. Maybe some like data problem because like last seven games are
I don't understand how you have the old UI. like this is like such a throwback because
data has a little bit better UI on checking new stuff compared to UI.
He's doing it all the all the time because actually I've done this for like
eight years now.
What do you mean you're sorry? You're not judging.
Yeah, I'm just saying that that is just
I never judge you.
I always judge him.
Anyway, marble sword.
Ooh.
Yeah, this is quite
This looks fun.
Yeah. Yeah. So, there's a physics play actually here. So, which is nice. And remember this is going this went into soft launch directly after send loop in pretty much the same week as we already covered sand loop. So I'm guessing that they're going a little bit more strong on the physics side because this just so interesting. So could be could be something.
How the [ __ ] does this work?
Huh?
How the [ __ ] does it work?
No, no. This this is easy explain. I get it. I get it. You sort it. You look you drop the balls. You drop the balls and then you have to match it with the bottom.
Do you see? It's exact same as sand sand loop except that you are putting the sand in except the buckets.
It's just reversed.
Okay.
It looks very cool.
It's better than sand sand loop I think. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Like visually because you
don't have this like pixel style sand whatever. It's just better in my opinion. But looks pretty hard as for like how how to actually do it.
This is Felix favorite out of the soft launch shoner so far.
Just wait. We haven't done to the end.
Just wait.
Good. Yeah, this one. So,
Supremacy Warhammer 40k from our friends in Hamburg. This is sitting on uh Steelfront portfolio.
Still front though. Is it
BR?
Bro,
yeah, it's like different company, but it is of course
or or or they license the the game or whatever because it is games kind of, you know, signature gameplay like
that's going to do well. It's just that it's uh it's within the Warhammer team like and Warhammers have been doing very very strong moves lately. They also did a Steam game if you remember I already covered it on wish lists on our wish list whatever thing where you have Vampire Survivors in Warhammer team with
the actual developer of Vampire Survivors. So it's not a ripoff. It's actually like a crossover game. And of course I'm eagerly waiting for the actual Warhammer series hopefully this year with
you too. My god, it's going to be amazing,
man. Everybody will be waiting. What?
I have no idea.
Warhammer's on on mobile. Like the only real big success on mobile is Tacticus, right? And it still makes 3 million a month and change in ad revenue, right?
Warhammer needs a little bit more splash. And if they get the series, I think they will get the splash because Henry Caval, if he does it, he will probably do it as best as he can because he needs to save his ass now that he left Witcher and Superman. Not much stuff left for him. Either this or Highlander or he's dead as an actor. So, good luck.
What?
That's a bit too negative.
Yeah,
that's what we get here. Anyway, uh so fingers crossed for this. This is as I said launched on second half of November. Really looking forward to the performance of this game. Then we have Home and theirs.
Yeah.
Wall Brawl, which I was very surprised that this is like a mix.
Such a great such a great name. Oh my god, guys. Please. Wall Brawl. So good.
We have another how do you call it?
To make this we would make style game.
Wasn't it 3 years ago we said that this was going to be the thing?
Christmas property Christmas 2024.
Yes. Just 3 years late but yeah it's kind of looks cool. It has
Did anyone make it with these games in the west? As good a success as in the east to Pengu Survivor. No way.
No no chance man. Like nowhere near nowhere near.
Let's see.
[ __ ] hell. Like
Yeah. It's not even top 10 tower defense game in the current.
What do you mean top 10?
Like if I would open the tower defense top 10 games in the leaderboard based on revenue, there's not a single one clone of
Yeah, but I mean seriously, look at look at the the heroes and the enemies. I mean like what is this? What is this is trying to be? I mean what kind of what is the theme? Why are these like blobs?
Like are they smiling or like what the [ __ ] are they doing? Like what? Come on. Like Jesus Christ. This actually reminds me of what the hand to be honest.
Not even close, man. Not even close. That was actually quite good art.
Yeah. Let's see.
Just look at this. Like this screen high. High CPI. I mean, you can have these like fake fake zombie blobs.
Fake zombie blobs, but like even the UI is high.
I was going to say I was going to say this looks very expensive.
Yes.
Like very expensive artwork.
Not because it costs a lot to make.
Yeah, exactly.
I came.
Really? Congratulations.
There's actually two games. Colorflow shooter, which is the base.
I wonder where they got this idea from.
Yes, exactly. Why not? But this is not the interesting one because everybody has these these days. It's like, you know, your next
Oh, this is the this is the the blob zombie from the previous game. This is it. Look from the Hummer, right? From the Homer. The picture in the picture in the middle. There's the zombie. Anyway, there's a zombie anyway. Uh, so and then
there's this other game that was just recently on soft launch on January 8th which is called Dragon Shooter Puzzle. And the only thing I was able to find is their creative and their screen.
I saw I saw this before.
Yes. So it looks like this. And I'm really hoping that it actually behaves like the one.
It is exactly like this. Yeah. I saw this I saw the creatives on some other game.
Yeah. Because it looks extremely intriguing if I think this works as it works.
Yes. This is exactly Yes. Yeah. So there could be this doesn't look expensive in terms of CPIs
actual innovation here because now we not only have a Zuma style kind of shooting thing but if I understand correctly there should be the tension mechanic with the snake actually eating the cat from the creative. So if this works that's finally an innovation.
I see I've seen this before on some
because they ditch the pictures.
Yeah, of course. Because now the picture is the the dragon.
Yeah. So, I'm really hoping this is not the fake creative and the game is just like base pixel flow.
You know, this is why they kicked us out
in the hallway when we went to visit them in Hanoi, right? Because
did anyone say web revenue? Oh, yeah. This episode is brought to you by Fastpring, the no drama D2C partner that's been scaling with mobile publishers for over 20 years. Fastpring.gg. Hello, Fast Spring. Thank you very much, guys, for sponsoring this episode.
You know, very secretive
like uh but this like in my opinion, this is the best one I've seen yet. At least as an attempt rather than just go
try it yourself.
Why are you shaking your head? What do you mean?
No.
Why not?
Is this really like this like this is the the super big innovation? I mean, come on, man.
It's better than nothing.
It it is. Yeah, it is. It is.
It's better than outright copy and it jumps on the UA trends, right, that we know. They also had the copy just to be sure.
Not.
Yeah.
So, you know, at least that's there.
Vietnam.
Uh, yeah, that's the you tell me because as I said, it's on iOS only.
No, I think I I seen this before, but not from I came, but for someone else and I actually that's already already.
This is actually an puzzle like traffic gem game that's also with the dragon. I've seen this exactly like the the new dead experience from from Kingdom Guard like in in this setup. I already seen I need to find it but 100% sure
I really want to see what what this does but like this is like my most
our side was quite bad so this is a little bit better.
Then we have pixel crush color puzzle which is another pixel flow followup and
this is coming from cyber agent who cyber agent the guys that have umamus portfolio. Yeah. And they have also um and some other other game which I wanted to cover in
Shadow Wars the big TCG game on mobile
even different game which was close to Hexa Sword.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
They also have that
they also joining the club of let me clone Pixel Flow because I can do it better. And then we have some late stuff with Superend Aeroflow. I wonder what that is. I wonder what that is. So there's Aeroflow which we know because as Felix predicted this will be clone to that and this was launched November 30th so quite soon I would say
how's it doing?
Was it called Arrow Flow?
Yeah, Arrow Flow Tap out puzzle game. So the big difference is that they have curved arrows instead of just
and also colors.
Yeah, and also colors and again at least a little bit of innovation just like a
slice slice like literally very very small slice there. Nothing really.
Not looking good on downloads, let me tell you.
Soft launch. I'm guessing it's soft launch.
Still like super super early.
The soft launch. If it will be big, I wouldn't pick it here. So that's there. The game I'm really intrigued which picked my attention is My Fish Shop released on October 1st. And this one was actually very nicely done in a way that I think they already had this one attempt on my favorite core that they have there.
I love their loading screen. Super Sense loading screen is just so nice
because they know, you know, they need to optimize. It's extremely optimized. Yeah. So, you see where this is going.
Isn't that the Steam Steam game you you showed us before?
No.
It's exactly the same as Outlets Rush and Pizza Ready.
So, it's Outlet Rush and Pizza Ready with Alien Invasion.
What? An alien invasion?
Yes. Yeah. See, same as multiccast game had the
original idle fish game. So they did that plus the outlet rush.
Why do you think they use this kind of retro art style instead of their kind of known art style? This is very different.
What's retro on this?
Yeah, exactly on this.
Okay.
It's a classic pizza already next to that and it looks very different, right? It's more mass market. It feels like this is just
this is this is not mass market. This is like let me get free Unity asset store pack.
Exactly.
Right. Yes. So, I'm guessing like all all that you see here except the icon maybe is completely Unity Asset Store pack free.
Yeah, that that the cost for this was like $25.
Yes, exactly. So it's extremely efficient and you see it it's basically their signature progression of outlet dash and pizza ready and then you have the you know the however you call it like this kind of vacuum clean game play of moving around having like an open space and getting stuff and fish fishes or whatever. So yeah, I'm really looking
forward to it. This this something like this in my opinion is like the most promising I see on their portfolio. And then they have as usual something completely exotic. Yeah, the merch match catcher.
Match clash 3 puzzle game. [ __ ]
So, yes, this is actually an iteration of puzzle quest. Puzzle Quest is this extremely old like 20-year-old PC game where you are matching stuff that is hitting your opponent. You're doing abilities and all these other things. You see the health bar of the the ball on the top and my health bar on the bottom. There's a timer and during the timer you need to match as much as possible and because I think we're doing them synchronously or unsynchronously don't know as synchronously probably you have again just some time to kind of match these and then to destroy your opponent. This is uh like very very old game iteration but again I don't know I don't think so that any of their midcore attempts actually worked it out do you think pizza already has right now go
no
22 or less
uh 3.7 million
3.7 okay
not even gossip harbor
it's nearly alltime high but yeah
yeah and then we have one last uh
[ __ ] hell come Pixel color flow as I said like we had like seven of these. This is this is actually coming from one soft but as I look at the portal and everything this is actually Falcon. So sending greetings to our friends as they are joining the party there.
But this is obviously what's going to happen.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I I just like I wanted to demonstrate on one of the sonars because we always talk about like yeah this is going to be clone to that and everything. Yes. Here it is. Here you have it clone to that. Do you think like they're sitting at Loom games and just being like
I mean Yeah, sure. But it's like
Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Counting the money.
It's like this.
Exactly. $500 bills or whatever.
Or do you think they're like calling the app police?
They can't because there's no evidence.
There we go.
Ducks. Ducks and pigs. Like it's enough. Um I'm really looking forward what will h happen with the dragon shooter game or whatever that is. Like if if that does anything. But let's see. M. Okay. Quite
I was surprised not to see more solitary associations. Maybe this just I didn't look that much into it.
Yeah. Yeah.
He was focus he was focused more on pixel flow.
Yeah. Next time
where's the pixel flow? Pixel flow here. Here here. Yeah. Let's see. Oh my god. Okay. Actually pretty interesting. Yeah. Pretty interesting stuff. We love this. Distilling the key insights…
The mobile gaming industry is currently defined by a pervasive clone-first mentality, where developers prioritize rapid production cycles and cost-efficiency over original design. This trend is driven by the widespread replication of successful titles like Pixel Flow, with many studios utilizing low-cost assets to flood the market with derivative products. While major publishers such as FunPlus and HoYoverse continue to pursue high-budget genre expansion, the broader landscape is increasingly dominated by hyper-casual strategies that rely on bait-and-switch marketing to test viability in a crowded ecosystem.
Market data confirms that this strategy of direct replication is largely ineffective. The match-three genre, in particular, remains a high-barrier environment where non-major developers rarely achieve sustainable lifetime revenue. Because these clones often arrive too late to capture the initial momentum of a trend, they struggle to compete against established market leaders. The reliance on minor aesthetic variations rather than substantive gameplay innovation results in a cycle of saturation that fails to resonate with players or secure long-term retention.
Success in the current mobile market depends less on production polish and more on strategic timing and the development of unique gameplay hybrids. Rather than chasing established hits, developers are encouraged to pivot toward physics-based mechanics and novel genre combinations, as evidenced by the relative promise of emerging titles like Marble Sort. Ultimately, the industry must move beyond the current cycle of rapid cloning, as the saturation of derivative titles has rendered simple, one-to-one copies an increasingly unsustainable path for growth in the modern gaming landscape.
