CyberAgent’s second-quarter fiscal year 2026 results demonstrate strong financial momentum, characterized by record-high consolidated sales and operating profit. Total sales reached 246.2 billion yen, representing a 13.3% year-over-year increase, while operating profit rose 39.3% to 29.0 billion yen. This performance was driven by growth across the company’s three primary segments: Media and IP, Internet Advertising, and Games.
The Media and IP segment, anchored by the ABEMA streaming platform, saw sales grow 9.0% to 62.1 billion yen, with operating profit surging 65.9% to 5.4 billion yen as the service achieved profitability. The Internet Advertising business also reached record sales of 127.7 billion yen, an 8.6% increase, supported by the integration of advanced AI technologies to optimize ad delivery and creative processes. The Game business reported the most significant growth, with sales rising 31.2% to 67.5 billion yen and operating profit increasing 36.3% to 20.9 billion yen. This success was attributed to the strong performance of anniversary events for major titles and a 3.5-fold increase in overseas sales, bolstered by the international release of the English version of Umamusume: Pretty Derby.
The company maintains its full-year fiscal 2026 forecast, projecting sales of 880 billion yen and operating profit between 50 billion and 60 billion yen. With a progress rate of 54.4% on sales and over 87% on operating profit by the end of the second quarter, the organization remains focused on long-term strategy, including the development of original intellectual property and the expansion of its global gaming footprint. The firm’s workforce grew to 8,267 employees, and recent governance updates include the appointment of three new directors to the board to enhance corporate value and leadership transition.
