Leadership Change. Jasmine Skee was promoted to CEO of Guild Esports, effective January 2023.
Guild Esports, a publicly traded organization listed on the London Stock Exchange and OTCQB, has restructured its senior leadership team to support its strategic growth objectives. The primary development is the promotion of Jasmine Skee from Chief Marketing Officer to Chief Executive Officer. Skee, who joined the organization in March 2022, succeeds co-founder Kal Hourd, who departed the company at the start of 2023.
In addition to the leadership transition at the executive level, the company has appointed three new senior staff members to bolster its operational capabilities. Luke Jones, formerly of the Red Bull Racing Formula One team, has been named director of esports and gaming. Nick Westwood, previously of RYFX Media, joins as the senior vice president of creative and strategy. Furthermore, Georgia Morison, formerly of London’s O2 Arena, has been appointed as the head of events and headquarters.
These personnel changes are intended to drive the company’s growth throughout the year. The organization has identified three core pillars for its upcoming business strategy: advancing grassroots development, expanding its fan and audience base, and positioning the Sky Guild Gaming Center as a premier venue for both esports competitions and corporate events. This leadership shift reflects a broader effort to stabilize and professionalize the company's management structure following the departure of its founding CEO.
