Brawl Stars Hits $275 Million Revenue, 100 Million Installs Worldwide in Six Months

Supercell’s mobile title, Brawl Stars, has achieved significant commercial success within its first six months of global availability, generating $275 million in worldwide player spending and surpassing 100 million installs. Launched in December 2018 following an extensive 18-month soft-launch period, the game has established itself as a key revenue driver for the developer, accounting for 35 percent of Supercell’s total mobile revenue during the first quarter of 2019.

The game’s financial performance is characterized by an average daily revenue of $1.5 million and a monthly average of $46 million. While these figures trail the performance of Supercell’s previous hit, Clash Royale, which generated $431 million in its first six months, Brawl Stars represents a notable achievement as an original intellectual property rather than a franchise spin-off. Geographic analysis indicates that South Korea is the leading market, contributing 22 percent of total revenue, followed by the United States at 19 percent and Japan at 9 percent.

These findings are based on data from Sensor Tower’s Store Intelligence platform, which tracks mobile application performance across the Apple App Store and Google Play. The analysis covers the period from the game's global release on December 12, 2018, through June 2019. Although the title has not yet launched in China, the world's largest mobile market, it remains on a trajectory toward becoming a billion-dollar franchise for the Helsinki-based publisher.
