The updated Video Game Insights (VGI) interface represents a strategic effort to unify gaming market intelligence within the broader Sensor Tower ecosystem. By aligning the VGI frontend with the company’s core platform, the redesign aims to provide a more cohesive, intuitive, and actionable user experience. This transition is designed to support existing analytical workflows while introducing advanced capabilities for deeper market exploration.
Key functional enhancements include granular wishlist tracking—differentiating between additions, deletions, and purchases—and a new reporting tool for dynamic cross-title metric comparisons. The platform has also consolidated market data and genre analytics into a single, unified report. Furthermore, the interface now supports language localization to better serve global teams and offers improved data visualization, including consolidated charts for revenue and active user metrics, alongside country-level filtering for time-series analysis. Future updates are slated to incorporate console-specific revenue breakdowns for PlayStation and Xbox, as well as integrated game advertising spend data.
The rollout follows a phased schedule beginning in September 2026, when the new interface becomes the default for new users. Existing users will have the option to opt-in during the transition period, with the new interface becoming the standard experience by October 2026. A full migration, resulting in the retirement of the legacy interface, is scheduled for completion between December 2026 and January 2027. This update reflects a commitment to maintaining a robust, enterprise-level platform for tracking performance shifts and market-level trends across the global gaming industry.
