The Charlottenburg district court declared the company illiquid and over-indebted. The main insolvency proceeding was officially triggered on August 1, 2025.
Berlin-based esports data firm Bayes Esports Solutions GmbH has entered formal insolvency proceedings after being declared both illiquid and over-indebted by the Charlottenburg district court. The company filed for insolvency on May 26, 2025, and a main insolvency proceeding was officially triggered on August 1, 2025. Attorney Dr. Benedikt de Bruyn has been appointed as the insolvency administrator to oversee the process, which includes a creditors' meeting scheduled for September 12, 2025, to determine the future of the firm’s assets and potential merger opportunities.
The company, formerly known as DOJO Madness, had previously secured over €9 million in funding from notable investors including Las Vegas Sands, BITKRAFT Ventures, and PAC Capital. Despite this backing, the firm faced significant operational challenges, most notably the loss of a critical live-data services contract with the Esports World Cup Foundation to competitor GRID Esports. Internal instability was further evidenced by a wave of staff redundancies throughout the summer of 2025 and the departure of co-CEO Martin Dachselt in late 2024.
Currently, only a small core team remains at the company, tasked with managing asset sales or negotiating a potential merger. Creditors, including former employees and service providers, are required to submit claims by October 24, 2025. The insolvency marks a significant downturn for the data provider, which had previously been a prominent player in the esports betting and data analytics sector.
