60k per day.
Even though rewarded placements are quite good.

See you later because this going to be very very very very interesting episode. Hello everybody, my name is Matej Lancaric.
I'm Felix Broberg.
And I'm Jakub Remiar.
And we are your host. And we got back from Istanbul which where we had an amazing event or actually two amazing events enlighten us Google and Mobile Dictum as well. But today we are talking about a game. A Brain Puzzle 2 Logic Twisted. By the name you can already expect a lot of different twists. [ __ ] hell. Oh my god.
It's all just a brain puzzle game. It's like I don't know. Yeah, it's a stretch.
You cannot have a brain not to begin with.
This is like absolutely zero brain involved in this. I think, but okay. It is I don't know.
Is it in the category of like an ad simulator game again?
It's called the riddle.
Yeah.
No, it's called ad simulator.
but it's an ad simulator. Like it's kind of the same, right?
Come on. Nothing can compare to Mr. E Dumply.
Yeah, I know. I know. I know. I know. Even Yeah, and all by the way guys, thank you very much for commenting that other that episode. Yes, it's a game. No, we have no idea why people spend more than 5 minutes in there.
But people do spend 5 minutes
I maybe yeah, maybe they don't. Maybe they don't. Well,
Well, hey, the creators made a million dollars. So, hey, well done.
mean yeah,
[laughter]
who are we to judge? Who are we to judge? At least this one has loads of creatives. And we are talking about the brain puzzle. Mr. Dumply didn't. But okay.
This is just one of these genres that's been around now forever and it still gets millions of users and I don't understand why.
I know, right? Like
It's I think this is this this brings me back to like who is the killer, who is
this, who is the murder and whatnot. Like all these different kind of riddles slash puzzles in the creatives. I worked on one app. Woof, I think it was like 8 years ago and they those creatives were the best even though they had absolutely zero connection to the to the app besides like some puzzles. This is really This is bringing me back
I could have showed the game. Let's just show it. Like show this uh until my eyes start to bleed.
Yeah, let me just put
looking into the creatives today and uh Katerina was next to me and she was like "Why is this emoji crying?" And I was like, "Well, my darling, this is me. This is me looking at the creatives."
Oh my god. I mean, literally I I just don't know what's what's happening. Well, I mean, I know exactly what's happening, but why is it happening? Well, I actually know exactly why it's happening I as well. So, whatever.
Well, I don't know what's happening here with Yakup. Yeah, I don't know what's happening here.
We're stalling. We're stalling. We're
talking. We're talking. What's going on?
He's there. Of course, he's there.
He's going to put in some more charred porn for later. More charred porn is great. That's what we need. Better charred porn then Yeah, exactly.
How far did you get?
Man.
Dude, too long.
creative. I was looking into the creatives and I was like I'm not playing this [ __ ]
You don't need to play it to understand what's happening here cuz the ad setup is like the simplest setup I've seen for at least like 200 games reviewed.
Okay, so let me let
So, yes. Kudos to you, Yakup, for actually playing this game because when I saw this in creatives
[laughter]
I I literally said no. Not happening.
So, what do you do? You use logic and then you
Logic.
The logic there's no logic in the window.
Exactly. Where's bleach? I just want to put it in my eyes. That's it. [laughter]
[snorts]
Sometimes the problem with this game is that
you need to swipe not only clicking on stuff, which is the problem that like yeah, can't really do much about it. Uh but yeah, as you see here logic related left the room right after like few of the activities I'm doing here.
Because that's that's what's happening here. But you can actually lose also in this game. If I for instance would now give her the the safe wheel, whatever, she would jump into the water and the shark would eat her, but now we give her this and she farts outside into
farts away.
Farts away and our shark didn't eat anybody and then we win into an interstitial as always.
Ooh.
At least here we can see a better game.
wait. That's like it's a very interesting interesting concept.
now. The sand physics stuff.
drop the cat or whatever is this man like
And we'll see in the next game that we review.
Anyway, while this advertisement goes, what you just saw are these pretty much riddle category.
What's the name of this game, man? Click on Click on the Yes. Sand filled block was it? Okay.
I've seen like plenty of these.
An American company. That's rare these days.
Good. Really? Don't you have an American company?
[laughter]
No, but in gaming in gaming, huh? Like who has a game Yeah, you have a gaming Yeah.
in gaming. I Sorry, I forgot.
[laughter]
Sorry about that. Man, [ __ ] hell.
Anyway, so what's happening here is that you play these logic puzzles and it's basically a point and click adventure.
Like if you remember those games.
Yeah.
If you remember the when we talked about Mac Pixel the Steam game which is again just like a situation, some kind of illogical solution that you need to find that's always funny or some kind of a humorous or something.
Sometimes not, sometimes completely
illogical and irrelevant, but you need to still find it and then you get the solution. It's all basically time based. You have if I understand 3 minutes for Yeah, we can get like a new one. Help the man disguise a beauty. So, you have 3 minutes to solve the riddle. You can get hints here which will give you like one of the points of like actions that you need to click on or if we deplete the time we can ask for 3 more minutes. I think infinitely for another ad.
another ad.
Let me Let me just read it out here like cuz Okay, so it's hints, unlock a level, unlock all levels, skip a level, and then extra time when it runs out. That's a rewarded placement. That's it. That's all of them.
Yeah, exactly. So, now we are trying to help our guy here. Well, okay, we failed.
Because I think I I triggered it.
Whatever you click here, you pretty much get an ad, right? So.
No, no, like I triggered the door. I think that was the the problem today.
I was supposed to do what?
The door is like that's definitely not the problem.
door levels. Like there were multiple levels like this, like when you actually need to trigger the door. It wasn't the What did this do?
My voice was triggered, then the door is the like the least problem you can
Aha, so so see for instance this is a fail state. Then I click on the dumbbell and it turns him into a man, so it's a fail state, same as the one with the shark. So, they have these when you again you shouldn't do this. And you see the repeated states wasn't triggering any interstitial. So, we shouldn't trigger on the dumbbell. Let me give him this, give him this, give him this. This. I think so.
Give him this, give him that.
Can I open this? Yes, I can open this. Okay, I can I get him there? Perfect. Take a shower, man.
Take more showers. Box.
And what do we do here? What? So. Okay.
Oh, come on. There we go.
Something with the camera.
This is Oh my god, this is this is amazing.
Yeah, it is amazing, really.
[clears throat]
I cannot do this.
You want to watch a reward ad for a hint then?
You want to watch a what that?
No. Why? I would love to see you suffer.
Perfect.
[laughter]
Now now the now yeah now just need
we just need some clothes. Yeah, there we go.
God.
There we go. What are we cutting?
I think you should just
Shorts? No, something we need to cut. Okay, perfect.
Oh, you cut no way.
[laughter]
How can you even cut something?
See, there we go. And uh there we win the level.
We don't need to sit here long. Oh my god.
Yeah. Well, I can just tell you here that interstitials play pretty much after level seven.
hello. Please play the Gunner game. Oh my god, like hey, this is so
And then between the levels and then when you press the restart button.

them all the time.
Yeah. Yeah.
Amazing. Love this.
Press the Google Play button and skip it.
Skip it. No, you don't
We don't want to play it all together. Check the review on our podcast. Exactly. Yay! Thank you very much. This is it. Another puzzle. Whatever.
much this relies on getting cheap installs from tier three and tier four countries, keeping them engaged enough to watch at least 10 to 18 interstitial ads and maybe some rewarded, and then basically Yeah, exactly. And then the ECPMs are going to be between a dollar 40 and like $3 if you're lucky.
And it's just relying on this being kind of fun.
I mean, why?
Yeah. Can we Can we just show the DAU because like this is not functional like the DAU, right? Like Yeah.
So, the category, as I said, is riddle and currently guys are wiping the floor here with 50 million downloads a month. Then there are some other games there, like for instance, Brain Test trick puzzles, which is the OG one.
Yeah, we talked about this a little bit.
Yeah, I saw some of them in the past. So, if you look at the numbers of our game, it's actually been launched in June last year and it's been consistently growing until it hits this 2 and 1/2 million DAU, but also you see this giant
Of course.
also see this giant peak of like 600, 500K downloads a day. That this is currently supporting.
driven. You have one creative that works super well.
Of course.
If you look at the country filter, we can see pristine tier three mix.
Pristine.
Pristine tier three.
Pristine tier three.
This is what I meant, like this is a dollar 40 to $3 maximum.
still, look at this DAU, Jesus Christ.
DAUs are still quite big.
They're like daily active users for some time.
Maybe they implemented quinoa into the live ops system. Woohoo! Because Quinoa is also sponsor of our podcast. Thank you very much, Quinoa. Quinoa means, you know, AI operating system for mobile game operations, live segments, flows, live ops, game ops, all you can imagine. No dev tickets. So, go to quinoa.ai, integrate in hours, and turn your players into the money making machine. Not just into money revenues. quinoa.ai. There you go. There you go.
Yeah. Brazil, Indonesia, Russia,
Philippines, Mexico, India, Vietnam.
Well, guys, who play these games? It's like a female audience or male audience? Female, I guess.
I don't know if I can trust this, huh? This is age.
Yeah, this is age.
Majority women.
Yeah.
Women, 75%.
Okay. I thought so, but I just wanted to know, confirm.
Yeah, and then young. [clears throat] See, very young. 50%.
average age is 34. And I would kind of Okay. Believe that.
Anyway.
guys think is the daily ad revenue cuz this is a good time to talk about it cuz like like I said, the eCPMs are low. There's a lot of impressions and people play at the levels, but if you have 2 and 1/2 million users, it's going to be a high
Yeah, I think it's quite high.
Even though rewarded placements are quite good.
Did anyone say revenue? Oh, yeah. This episode is brought to you by FastSpring,

Yeah, yeah, yeah. You need You want to watch this.
Yes, you want because it's in the
stuck.
You have no idea what you're doing.
Yeah, so sometimes you just have to figure it out, right?
I know what you You can do. You can just click X button and just [ __ ] leave this game and then do something else.
Have a life.
Yeah, exactly.
I mean
$83,000 a day.
Okay.
Oh, really?
Far away.
So, how much are they spending on UA though? That's the real question, right?
Honestly, with these very similar to what they're earning, honestly.
What do you think kind of uh paybacks they have on this? Must be super quick.
Dude, yeah, exactly. Like, it's just below 30 days, for sure. But, like, if if you go and look at the retention because I think they they should have the retention already there. I think it's an old game. And I wouldn't say like after day day 60 there is anything.
Day 1 46
Yeah, day 60 with day 1%. Yeah.
Day 30 2%
Anything between
7 though is a lot better than I thought it would be. Day 7 13%.
Yeah.
It's uh
like 10. I think it's like 10.
Day 1 4
Yeah, I mean Honestly, if this is all and you go and just check US, maybe that's different because this is pretty much everything.
But, US should be
The higher the US, the tiny. It's really tiny.
Sure.
Actually, even worse numbers.
Even worse, okay. It's It's too It's 200k DAU in US, which is not bad. So, come on. But anyway, if there are any 80K, I think they can spend like 90 to 100 maximum because they you need to see this money back in 7 to 14 days. After that, it's just that. But it's it's still growing, guys. So,
Yeah, it's growing for 1 year.
Still, it's growing. Yes.
That's the same part.
interesting part. It's the app. Oh my god, it's amazing. It's amazing.
picked it up. Yeah. Yeah, I just wanted to compare it with the Brain Test game, which was been there since 20 19 basically.
Brain Brain Test game?
Yeah, and it's half a [snorts] billion downloads, still supporting like 100K downloads a day, by the way.
Not bad either.
And active users 1 1.something, so this
is doing great. And then if you look at the actual category, how this goes, but I don't think so we have our new guy here. Unfortunately. Oh, he's here. So, yeah, it's been pretty much going down since the Brain Test guys to something like 7 million downloads a month. So, yeah, it's not that big of a like as Felix said that like millions of downloads. They used to do 100 millions of down 100 million downloads a month during Corona. So, this definitely has passed a bit. Anyway, UI Show me the creatives cuz then this is going to be our quickest game review ever.
No, no, no.
So, basically like to sum up to sum up the strategy, they basically use shock and awe. I'm assuming we're going to see in these creatives cuz they have so much content, and then basically people download it, so the CPIs are really low,
and then they pray they stick around for 3 days because then they probably make a profit.
Four creatives running currently. That's yeah, 2.2. It's new creatives. This is 3.5. The last 30 days. Yeah, okay. So, it's four. Yeah, it's four. And it's see 570 playables.
So, I told my boss I made a playable ad in playable [music] maker. And he said to me, "What language did you code it in?" And I said, "I don't know. With playable maker, [music] what you do is drag, drop, click, and it does it all for you." So, you again he said, "What language did you make it in?" And I
[music]
said, "I don't know. English." At the end of the day, as long as the playable maker does it all for you, why do you care? It's just like magic. [music]
3,000 videos.
Aspiring UA manager comment here. This must be on Mintegral. Mintegral performs
really well for this type of stuff, right?
[laughter]
Maybe. Maybe.
[laughter]
Oh, I've been paying attention.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. A little bit at least. And which is good. No, it's AppLovin Mintegral. A little bit of different things. Very small, but AppLovin Mintegral for women casual games. My God. Both of these are just amazing. So, we can get back to actually And you see Mintegral here, here, and here. So, well, not I'm showing here. So, you see Mintegral here, here, and here. So, you're actually paying attention. Because you have your eyes open, which is great. But, this is not the what I want to to show. I had way better [ __ ] you can look at.
Shock and awe. [clears throat] There we go.
Ah, but it's Mintegral. So, it's it's really bad.
So, you get one of those door levels.
Yeah. Ah, but it's [ __ ] disgusting.
But, it was pixelated.
Exactly. because it's integrated low wall. I mean, come on. Like, what's happening here? Seriously. It's just the gameplay. Yeah, it's just the gameplay. A little bit of like time pressure and stuff. But it's good. This is close to that Yeah, yeah, exactly. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. Exactly. This is exactly what you need, right? Clean up the room. There's this guy but door door level. I saw like all of these like something like dicks dicks not that. Looks like Sim. Literally what? Like, what is this? And also like what is this dog doing here? Seriously. I mean, I was looking at this and I was like, okay, so I
Does this make sense?
No, I was like Like, what's happening?
sense.
I mean, that sense left the chat already. [ __ ] Oh my god. Like, yeah, yeah, yeah. Wait a second. This is yes. So, this is what I really was looking at. Like, oh my god. Like, seriously. Like, this is again.
Yes, the makeover stuff. And the body shaving and [ __ ] I was like, oh my god. I like really really. Are we there again? Ah.
Yeah, we are there again.
We are there again. Yes, we are there again.
Again, like this is the category when it dies, I'm like, may it die.
going to die. Right, that's the problem. Like, people always
you've seen on the graph.
Yeah, but look, people always like, oh my god, this is terrible, whatever, it's gross. And then yet, we see still all these creatives everywhere because people are clicking on it and downloading these games and playing them. And then like some three idiots are talking about them on the podcast to get even more spotlight. So,
so yes.
Two and a half. How dare you? Do we think that
[clears throat]
These? I don't think so.
It doesn't mean it's not there. It's been around for too long. I think it's been around for too long, huh?
Yeah, I think so. Yeah, exactly. I think
It's too old.
What do you mean too old? It's only been 1 year.
Yeah, exactly.
come on. Like a year ago, AI wasn't good enough to start building as much as it was today, you know? Like
Also, like maybe some of these could be
Of course it was, man.
Yeah, I'm not sure, honestly.
What the hell even is this?
Jesus Christ. Jesus [snorts] Christ. This is not my
Jacob. Jacob. Jacob. We need to play another horror game soon. We need to bring you another horror game. We need to find one that you like. Yeah. Yeah. Another Granny That is the most fun I think I've had on a review.
Yeah. What's What's What's happening?
Okay, let me play this. Let me play this little bit.
Granny's are the environmental. They don't have a horror category.
Yeah, people are people are always like bitching about Oh, Jesus Christ. Oh, what is this? Google Playable. Okay, this is great. Also, this is the playable that is just click here and here. And that's it. This. What am I supposed to do? This. And What was I supposed Yeah, I'm saying I was saying people are kind of bitching about us not talking about Granny again. And the guys like this is not how the, you know, review radar works. Come again? Yeah.
All right. Okay, enough of that.
Yeah, this Yeah, this look This looks like AI, honestly.
Looks like AI. It seems to me.
This looks like AI.
Maybe it's too much used to uh, you know, like real world AI.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
videos.
I mean, not But honestly, like
30% more
or 15?
This is yes. It's not fail, right? So, it's fall. So, this could be
think they're running 15 or 30% margins on this?
Uh 30.
You think so?
15, man. Like, 30 is too much.
15? Yeah, 15. You know, same for something like this.
They don't understand the CPI on this [ __ ]
The CPI is going to be crazy low. Like, we're talking like 10 to 20 cents, right?
As I say as as I was saying as the beginning, this again reminds me all these like different creatives that I saw 8 years ago and we were using Well, they were using it because you had very similar like situations. Like, who is the killer free or four different kind of characters. And then like those were like the insane CPIs even in the US. And like everything else, let's say it was like $10, like this [ __ ] was like one and a half or two. Insanely low. Really good concepts.
So, that's why I'm kind of brings me back. Which actually kind of
They don't really have that many levels. That's also quite interesting.
It's like why? Come on. Like, you have day 30 max. By day 30
No, nobody's there.
So, people people don't know.
They just have 140 levels.
Yeah. What do you think it's like the the highest level people achieve? Like,
Oh, by the way, I forgot. There's a There's an event running currently in the game called First Love Battle. Where you have three separate situations that you need to solve for four days.
I would love to get away from this game.
Yeah, can we can we end it here? I have nothing else to say about this. Like, this is the simplest ad ever.
no, no, no, no, no. Why? I mean, come on. Look, he's great.
[laughter]
It's like This is the best thing you can get. You're like absolutely like IQ like
five. Not more. It's
Honestly, is the US strategy okay or would you change anything?
No, I mean, this [clears throat] for this game like it's amazing. Honestly, like like this is the best thing you can get. I was just thinking about why all like other casual casual games are not using something like this. Mhm, honestly. I mean, literally because you could you could put Oh, [ __ ] it. This is terrible. Maybe that's why nobody's using it. It definitely works. Definitely works. Ah. So, uh well, like why this small company team?
So, you think these guys make half a million in profit from this game a month? It's exactly what you're saying, right? Like if they're spending 100k a day, they're earning 83. So, like
It's a Chinese studio because it's actually registered in China. They don't even bother with the Singapore.
Cuz they have ridiculous margins.
Yeah. Yeah, okay. Oh, man.
All right.
And they have brain puzzle puzzle time brain puzzle. So, they're they're quite well versed in this.
Yeah, it's not the first time they've do they do they do this most probably. Be friends with Amy. Really?
Yes, of course.
Oh, wow.
This is like the This is like the lowest denominator IQ we're looking at right now. Like it doesn't get lower than this. Like yeah.
I mean, yeah, you you always say this and then every time we find something else.
Yeah.
Just give it time. Just give it time. Nothing else. Oh, boy. Okay. I think I'm done. I'm done looking at
Yeah, let's just yeah.
I'm done looking at
Thank you for stopping by.
Yes, thank you very much. I bet this was an amazing episode for everybody. Or maybe not. I mean, yeah, exactly. It's even
need to talk about it because it's big. It's very, very big.
It's huge.
And
Huge.
Huge. Huge. And we see you next time. Thank you very much.
Bye-bye.
Bye-bye.
Ciao.
Brain Puzzle 2: Logic Twist demonstrates the commercial viability of high-volume, low-complexity mobile gaming by achieving 2.5 million daily active users and generating approximately $83,000 in daily ad revenue. Developed by a Chinese studio, the title succeeds by prioritizing rapid user acquisition and aggressive monetization over deep gameplay mechanics or long-term engagement. The core strategy relies on targeting tier-3 markets, such as Brazil, India, and Indonesia, where low cost-per-install metrics—ranging between 10 and 20 cents—allow for massive scale despite relatively low effective cost-per-mille rates.
The game’s operational model is built for rapid churn and immediate payback, with a typical return on investment achieved in under 30 days. This is facilitated by a high-frequency ad setup that emphasizes interstitials over rewarded placements, paired with a prolific creative strategy that deploys 4,000 unique advertisements every month. Although the content is limited to 140 levels and day-seven retention remains modest at 10 to 13 percent, the game effectively captures a specific demographic, primarily young women, through shock-value marketing and simplistic puzzle mechanics.
Ultimately, this approach highlights a shift toward high-velocity, disposable gaming experiences that leverage sheer volume to offset the lack of logical depth or player loyalty. By focusing on short content lifecycles and a relentless influx of new users, the studio maintains high profit margins within the casual puzzle genre. The success of this model underscores the enduring power of accessible, low-barrier-to-entry titles that prioritize immediate monetization in emerging global markets.
