Net revenue plummeted 47.5% to €318.1 million. Net bookings also fell 51.8% to €301.8 million.
Ubisoft’s third-quarter fiscal report for the period ending December 31, 2024, reveals a period of significant financial contraction as the company navigates a major corporate restructuring. Net revenue plummeted 47.5% year-over-year to €318.1 million, while net bookings fell 51.8% to €301.8 million. This decline aligns with the company’s previously revised forecasts, reflecting ongoing challenges in maintaining growth across its core gaming segments.
Geographically, North America remains the company’s primary market, accounting for 49% of total bookings, followed by Europe at 35%. Platform distribution remains dominated by consoles, which represent 54% of bookings, followed by PC at 26% and mobile at 10%. Despite the revenue drop, the company maintained a stable base of 36 million monthly active users, with notable engagement growth in titles such as Rainbow Six Siege and the Crew series.
The company is currently executing an aggressive cost-cutting program that is performing ahead of schedule, with savings expected to exceed €200 million for the full fiscal year. These measures, which include studio closures and project cancellations, are slated to continue into the next fiscal year with increased intensity. Looking forward, management intends to narrow its strategic focus to two primary verticals: single-player open-world action games and live-service titles. While the company anticipates a break-even operating profit for the current fiscal year, it continues to evaluate broader transformational and capitalistic options to stabilize its long-term financial position.
