The Paris-based esports organization signed professional players Sayff and Valmaster.
Paris-based esports organization Team Vitality has officially entered the competitive Street Fighter 6 scene by signing two professional players, Sayff and Valmaster. This strategic expansion aims to bolster the organization's presence in the fighting game community, with both athletes scheduled to represent the team at DreamHack Dallas in late May 2024.
The roster additions bring significant experience to the organization. Sayff, a Canadian competitor, previously secured a first-place finish at the Capcom Pro Tour 2023 North America Midwest event and placed eighth at Capcom Cup X. Valmaster, a veteran French player with a career dating back to 2013, has achieved multiple top-tier placements, including four appearances in the Capcom Cup finals and two French championship titles within the Capcom Pro Tour.
This move is supported by Team Vitality’s inclusion in the Esports World Cup Club Support Program, an initiative designed to incentivize organizations to field rosters in games featured at the upcoming Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The program and the associated tournament are funded by the Saudi Arabian government through the Public Investment Fund and its subsidiary, Savvy Games Group. By securing these players, Team Vitality aims to qualify for the Esports World Cup and compete for a portion of the event's $50,000 prize pool, with further qualification opportunities scheduled at DreamHack Summer 2024 and EVO in Las Vegas.
