The analysis covers data from January through November 2024.
The mobile gaming landscape in 2024 remains dominated by the casual games segment, with Scopely emerging as the leading publisher by net in-app purchase revenue. Data covering the period from January through November 2024 indicates that Scopely generated $1.63 billion, largely driven by the significant commercial success of Monopoly Go. This performance places the company ahead of major industry competitors including Playrix, which secured $1.53 billion, and King, which recorded $1.28 billion.
The top 10 list of casual publishers reflects a diverse geographic distribution, with three companies based in the United States, two in Turkey, and two in Israel. Dream Games, fueled by Royal Match, holds the fourth position with $1.25 billion in revenue, followed by Moon Active at $852.16 million. The rankings also highlight the continued influence of established firms such as Peak Games, SciPlay, Product Madness, Zynga, and Playtika, all of which maintained strong revenue streams within the casual category.
Methodologically, these findings are based on net in-app purchase revenue data provided by AppMagic, which accounts for platform fees and inclusive taxes. While the revenue rankings focus on casual titles, the broader market analysis notes that major publishers like Tencent and NetEase also maintain a presence in the top 20, despite their primary revenue sources stemming from midcore titles. In contrast to revenue-based rankings, the list of top publishers by total downloads is led by BabyBus, which recorded 760.8 million downloads, followed by Outfit7 and Miniclip.
