The termination is effective November 18, 2025.
Riot Games has terminated the partnerships of TALON Esports within the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Pacific and the League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP) leagues, effective November 2025. The decision follows a failure by the organization to adhere to league operational standards, specifically citing a pattern of significantly overdue payments to players and an inability to demonstrate the financial capacity required to sustain participation in the VCT ecosystem.
The removal concludes a period of mounting financial instability for TALON Esports, which had previously faced public scrutiny regarding a $1 million bridge loan dispute and rumors of unpaid obligations to staff and contractors. Despite the termination of these specific league partnerships, the organization continues to maintain professional rosters in other titles, including Dota 2, Street Fighter 6, and Rainbow Six Siege, while retaining various corporate sponsorships.
League officials have confirmed that they are currently working with the affected players to facilitate their transition into other teams within the ecosystem. To maintain regional representation, particularly for the Thai community, Riot Games plans to conduct a selective application process to identify a replacement organization before the start of the 2026 season. This action underscores the league's commitment to enforcing financial and operational accountability among its partner organizations.
