This revenue target represents a 77.3% increase from 2023 levels. The company also aims for an operating profit of $1.74 billion by 2027.
Nexon has unveiled a comprehensive medium-term growth strategy aimed at significantly scaling its financial performance by 2027. The company targets an annual revenue of $5.22 billion, representing a 77.3% increase from 2023 levels, alongside an operating profit goal of $1.74 billion. To support these objectives, the firm plans to return at least 33% of its annual operating profit to shareholders through dividends and buybacks, while targeting a return on equity between 10% and 15%.
The core of this growth initiative relies on a dual-pronged approach to intellectual property management. Vertical growth focuses on expanding established franchises—specifically Dungeon & Fighter, MapleStory, and FC—into new platforms and global markets, with these titles expected to generate a combined $3.69 billion by 2027. Horizontal growth involves the development of new IPs and the cultivation of fresh titles, such as the upcoming extraction shooter ARC Raiders and the action RPG The First Berserker: Khazan.
A critical component of this expansion is the implementation of a hyperlocalization strategy. Nexon intends to establish dedicated, market-specific teams for its games to ensure content is tailored to regional cultural nuances and audience preferences. This focus on localized engagement follows the recent success of Dungeon & Fighter Mobile, which significantly bolstered the company’s performance in the Chinese market. By leveraging these strategic pillars, the company aims to sustain long-term momentum across its global portfolio.
