The gaming industry experienced a significant surge in revenue on Steam during February 2025, driven by several high-profile releases. Data provided by GameDiscoverCo highlights the commercial performance of new titles, with Kingdom Come: Deliverance II leading the market by grossing an estimated $118.9 million on the platform since its February 4 launch. This title also achieved notable cross-platform success, selling over 2 million copies on Steam and more than 600,000 units on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Monster Hunter Wilds secured the second position, generating $69.1 million in gross revenue within its first 24 hours of availability. By March 2, the title’s Steam revenue had exceeded $150 million, with total sales across PC and PlayStation 5 estimated at over 4 million units. Additionally, the game reached a peak of 1.38 million concurrent players on Steam, marking it as one of the platform's largest releases by player engagement. Sid Meier’s Civilization VII followed in third place with $66.1 million, bolstered by record-breaking pre-order figures.
The top five was completed by Avowed and Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, which generated $13.1 million and $7.7 million, respectively. The remaining top ten list included smaller-scale or niche titles such as A Game About Digging A Hole, SWORN, PGA Tour 2K25, Rift of the NecroDancer, and Lost Records: Bloom & Rage. These findings underscore the importance of launch-window performance, as initial sales figures often serve as a primary indicator of a game's long-term commercial trajectory on the Steam storefront.
