Create free accounthello welcome [ __ ] game not business monetizer um we're gonna have a look at the game from minecandy today it's um world of warriors so my candy is well known for its moshi monsters franchise which is a kids web game um that was a subscription game which is very hard to really do micro transactions on so um it actually was a kind of pc game didn't it's kind of they found it hard to to take the franchise to mobile so this is a game even though it's from um mike and it's from a completely separate development team um that they've got um and a completely different kind of um ip as we call it that warrior so i've got my uh this is a nice thing to see daily prize so i mean actually winning five of these gems isn't a great kind of thing the red one is the one you want i do five days in a row to get that anyway i've got that so what we're doing with this game is fired
up let's kind of um kind of see things going on there's a shop records achievements treasure okay battle bit of uh um kind of retail uh promotion going on here um temple home camp facebook so there's a facebook connection you can kind of um gift um two of these group blue gems let's do a quick look at what these gems are like so um door epic so you probably can't read this here but if i have ten red ones i've only got six i can get a rare super rare or legendary warrior so this is kind of it's based on the game is using some sort especially based on the background of a card system so i'm kind of trying to get higher level warriors and level them up as i play the game um i've got quite a lot of these blue ones i've just used five to go for this store this door i'll kind of um get to something i don't really know what it is like all card games there's a lot of randomization going there so i've got a fire figure in it's a material so materials are used to create talismans that is not particularly useful let's go and get another go and see what else we get sometimes you get kind of home cards you can win cards for this but basically
you're getting items fairly low level things get them there we go i got a silver ingot there we go so let's come out there so with those things i've won i can craft some stuff most of these things i'm going to offer agreement ingredients for but i can craft the protection taken okay for all those crash protection decks and here we go protection tape so this is kind of interesting that plus trims and health monitoring that's intact so it's very useful i choose a warrior to equip it on so these are my these are all my warriors um have kind of different slots let's choose one uh who's he's got a slot so if we go down here we can find it okay so let's drop it in there it's got a little 10 bite that means it has them especially consumable so after 10 baht every time i use it that number will drop down by one so that this kind of effectively this attribute will work for 10 battles okay not enough um to craft anything else let's come out again um
go to my home camp um so why is that highlighted i'm not sure about that okay um so we've got some um we've said uh we've had a look at the blue and the red got gold so gold is a used uh kind of a training my warriors up and it's also used um in in battle in to enter battles um you know it's also it's used but mainly this is this energy kind of food thing so energy system effectively so if we go to battle um quickly look at the monetization kind of okay this is this is like a this is the last battle in this kind of little sequence so there's a little bit of story there so we can see the cost of me doing this battle um so let's come out of that for the time being i'm really just looking at monetization here so if i want to buy some more stuff nope
there we go so it's under kind of packs um so we've got the gold here we can buy buy that with the gems i think they're called uh wild stones so this is fairly standard so this is i get by two for three dollars up to 100 280 for 100 um kind of unit wise that's kind of low um often for a hundred dollars you're often the rate is kind of one dollar for 100 at the in-game currency obviously for this one i'm spending a hundred dollars and i'm getting 280 so i'm only getting um do the math at 2.8 of these milestones per dollar it seems like just low it doesn't really matter obviously the completely made up kind of currencies but it seems like psychologically people want they're going to spend the dollar seems better to get 10 or 100 or 100 of these units than two or three we've got some of these packs so these are potions you use in battles they can give you boost and uh mana um similarly um no i don't want to buy those
and you kind of win win these in the in as you play as well so there's some of these packs as well tokens we saw we made one of those before we could just buy these straight off with the with our um gold um stamina that's a small stamina a big stamina effectively um but we can see in in all this way it's kind of nice i think that you kind of earn you kind of get these given these currencies as you play um even hard and soft currency but i think is a good thing um but all the currencies that kind of tend to be these are quite small amounts in other games you see you might have a kind of a currency like this you might get kind of millions of them you might just earn loads of those loads it seems um as i say kind of more generous even though it's not really affecting anything that's going on um i guess that shows different kind of philosophies of how people want to kind of set up their their in-game economists obviously they can do it in any way they like but there's kind of get some psychological back um bone to some of these things that just some of them seem more generous than others um that's a quick look at the monetization or the monetization economy of world of
warriors you
World of Warriors, a mobile title developed by a dedicated team within Mind Candy, utilizes a multifaceted free-to-play monetization model centered on a complex in-game economy. Moving away from the subscription-based structure of the developer’s previous Moshi Monsters franchise, the game employs a card-based collection system where players acquire and level up warriors. The core loop involves managing various currencies—specifically gems, gold, and stamina—to facilitate progression, crafting, and combat participation.
The economy relies on a mix of hard and soft currencies, with wild stones serving as the primary premium currency. Players can purchase these stones in bundles ranging from three to one hundred dollars. Notably, the exchange rate for these premium units is relatively low compared to industry standards, offering fewer units per dollar than many competitors. This design choice reflects a specific psychological approach to perceived value, prioritizing smaller, more manageable currency increments over the massive, inflated figures often seen in other mobile titles.
Progression is further monetized through randomized loot drops, such as materials for crafting consumable talismans that provide temporary combat buffs. The game also incorporates an energy-based stamina system, which limits the frequency of play and encourages microtransactions for refills. By integrating daily rewards, social gifting features, and a tiered rarity system for warriors, the game balances aggressive monetization with a sense of player progression. Ultimately, the economy functions as a hybrid system that rewards consistent engagement while providing multiple avenues for players to accelerate their progress through direct purchases of currency, consumables, and randomized card packs.
