Hello. Oh, hello everybody. Hey. Hi there.
Hello.
I was lost in my See you there.
Yeah, I didn't see you. I lost in my million taps. I was I was looking for like a positive sign of the latest update of Mo, but I couldn't find it. Oh. Uhoh.
Saturday Night Live strikes again.
Second. Yeah, Saturday Night Live. Welcome to to the Two Enough Gamers. Not the Saturday Night Live. We record on Saturday and it's going to be a podcast about a new update of Moco, the greatest game ever. Anyway, my name is Mate Lanch.
I'm Felix Robert.
I'm Yakubier. I will be ped of Exile Yakub.
This is going to be a road show.
Oh, yeah. I mean, without being too negative about the game. So, let's talk about what happened, why it happened maybe, and what not. today pretty much. Well, how where do we want to start?
I don't even know.
Let's just say that I wasn't able to run it on emulator. Thank you very much. Like each Supercell game because they have it blocked. I can I don't know.
Do you want me to play?
You can play. We can we can we can
because I can I can play it if you want. I just No worries.
Evil mate can join.
Evil mate can join if you want, but like no need to for now.
Okay, fine. I mean,
let me just start with this. So, this is Moco so far. Poco launched in March 2025 last year. There was this download spike 2007 300k a day. Then very big shark fin. Then one more big update pumped up to something like this. And uh
what is that? Was it $20,000 a day?
What? This is down
downloads. and and yeah and uh this is not the full picture because I deliberately ended December 7, 2005 because if we go to app launch and absolute date, this is the full picture. So this is the major update right here. And if we go to revenue curve, it's kind of the same story.
Yeah, but it's better than the last year.
Yeah, sure. Show me DA.
Sure. I'm going to show you DAU, which is the exact same story. Yeah.
Which did something. It did something. Come on.
50k to like let's say two and a two.
It did something. Yeah, sure. Mhm.
And if I did this with my game, that would be awesome. Oh, wait a second. I I'm not super sure.
Yeah. Again, Brazil, France, some US, and Yeah. There we go.
Does that mean they're running blended roas campaigns? Cuz Brazilians love
those campaigns. Well,
there's a super cell, man. Like, what are you smoking?
Well, almost got away. So, the other thing where we can stay here and just like check the curve.
Yeah, I mean, it's pretty good. It's 5 million. This is like
5 million. Did anyone say web revenue? Oh yeah. This episode is brought to you by Fastpring, the no drama D2C partner that's been scaling with mobile publishers for over 20 years. They're fast growing, profitable, and seriously reliable, which is more than you can say about most vendors in this space. Anyway, whether you're launching a new web store, replacing your current D system, or adding a backup plan, Fast Spring is here for you. Visit fastspring.gg
to set up your web store today. Fastpring.gg. Hello, Fastprint. Thank you very much, guys, for sponsoring this episode though. That's it's one day before
one day but yeah few days.
How much have they spent probably on UA on this
€7? I don't know man. Like it's right right now they're definitely spending a lot but
don't spend on you. They spend on the army [ __ ] influencers.
No no like here we we have some some some UA stuff. Come on man. Like it's
some on top of that.
On top of that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
But the thing is
what the update is.
You remember you remember when Wait wait wait wait. You remember the like when they launched actually the the game?
You mean the silent launch? This was the launch.
No, no, no, no, no, no silent launch. I mean the launch when they just handed out flyers around GDC.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
And everybody changed changed their job position on LinkedIn which was great.
This is the launch like March March 2025 last year GDC.
Yes. Exactly. Which is great if your target audience is [ __ ] gaming industry. But this was not Wasn't this some closed beta something [ __ ]
No, it was it was Oh, well, there were there were promo codes where you can just, you know.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But this wasn't launch. This was the launch if I understand correctly.
I don't care. It's terrible both ways.
Yeah. Anyway,
yeah, we did the review. You can see the video on the channel. This is how it looked before. You would start into this room, some kind of a story of like something something. Then you go into the game play. If you remember, and if you listen carefully to what I said there a year ago,
what did you say?
I said that this thing doesn't have an audience because it doesn't have depth.
Yes.
Because why RPGs fail is because their item system is piece of [ __ ] And this thing has a piece of [ __ ] item system. And a new update has a piece of [ __ ]
item
system as well. Yeah. Nothing changed. What the
when you say piece of [ __ ] item system, what does that actually mean, though?
There's no chase items, man. Like, you literally collect every item in the game and then you just farm these cores or whatever. I'll show you. But like, there's no items. There's no giant strategy. There's no depth. And you know what's the the biggest issue with here? They're actually doing exactly what I said because if if this is how it looks now, like this is the new version. If you log in now, this is actually a guy that logs in with like a old account and
like welcome back. Like this is the experience that people will will get now if they log in. And that's
this is what this is what I got.
So you get this gift with all these whatever like welcome back things
which is mostly just cosmetics if I understand correctly and
a mount and then you have this
mount and like two weapons. So then you have this kind of nice overview. Yeah, there's your hub. So we're back in business. Go monster hunting. Redesigned weapons. Daily changing jobs. More
action pack monsters. Da da da da. Get the full memo. New weapon abilities. So what happened here? Each weapon comes with unique abilities that unlock epic combos. Level up and collect weapons from weapon. Blah blah blah. So it means more depth. They added more depth as I said because it lacked depth. Then they added
What did it like like depth?
Yeah,
depth. Johnny depth.
He wanted to go deeper.
Deeper.
So redesign portal. We got new expeditions for every day and new boss rifts every week. No level required. So team up and get like again some more. This is not even depth. This is width because again new monster attacks. Move faster. Pay attention to new monster attack signals and dodge their attacks more efficiently than before. It's all blah blah blah. So again it means more depth because monsters now have their attacks. You need to evade da da da which means you need to learn stuff. So it's depth. And then last one is again it's not shown here if I understand correctly but uh again you start with these like you pick one of the abilities
you pick the [snorts] ability and then
it can be unlocked only after level 11 or something the techn so it's like it's not actually as
yeah clear shop turn into cosmetic uh shopfest basically
we watching Polish guy
that's not good right
yeah in RPG is not really good because I don't know a single RPG that works on cosmetics and then
but who the [ __ ] you think you are
the whatever this is this is what what you basically get there like this is what you see like the new where was it the new weapons yeah there we go so lot of new weapons all of these weapons are basically like see a different play style because you have suddenly five abilities that you need to kind of use and go around. Before it was like one button or whatever. Like you just going like you smack things on the head and they die. Bonga bonga style. Now you at least need to do something.
Bonga,
which is great, but it's still, you
know, guys, too few things like really like
it's been a year since you you did an update and this is it?
Yeah, exactly. Like this is it? Like abilities like weapons with abilities and so what? Like come on. I mean they changed they changed like there's a seasonal content and like by the way this is the biggest biggest complaint. So you thought that you change is so good that you could use something like Ped exiles progression which resets levels every season. You know why? because it [ __ ] is amazing giant content that you can level up, do, and like do whatever there you want because there's 20 different progression verticals which you have like one. Also, man, look, I played this game and I had to quit like literally rage quit because it's like nothing I I don't think like anything changed actually in terms of the game play besides like I just bash [ __ ] and evade and do like a lot of
different things and I just don't see the purpose to play the [ __ ] game.
Man, I I still think like this is the like the major problem with this [ __ ] So, they're actually going the direction as I said because they lacks depth. So they added depth, but they added like depthish like
a little bit just a sprinkle.
We heard you add depth. So we added a little bit of depth into your depth like that.
They added a kid pool. They added a kid pool.
But you know what? They cannot add depth because what they're going to turn this into Diablo Immortal. There is a Diablo immortal and it's working and it's working in China. It's not working in the west because that's how it is. This audience would shrink so much that Supercell's model which is giant YouTube marketing, giant audience, super accessible, super easy to get into. Da da da da da. All these other things just wouldn't work for a hardcore RPG. It's not possible. So therefore, you have this Gen Z slope which just tries to pretend
Jenzi slope. It
is an RPG, but it's not. It's it's not an RPG. And you know what's the end game
for this? is these soul cores or or whatever course sorry cores that you just farm and they are by the way also the gacha system I think I saw it where in like Kyros video there was the image of those yeah the so these are the loot boxes or whatever was it showing or something I'm like come on guys it's basically like an Excel spreadsheet again that you can get yeah the cores you see so you have these course and this is the end game items basically like this is what you farm you farm like attributes and you have more of the attributes and it's like that's it goodbye like this this is all there is and then you can have these as I said like loot boxes which by the way you cannot even buy yeah perks and out of the perks sometimes you can get like a weapon that's like only achievable through that and that's it pretty much like there's your end game there's thing
and like for an RPG insert orangutan meme
gen slop gen slop
man like it it doesn't have an audience like I'm a hardcore RPG player I play even lightweight RPGs like torch light in my opinion lightweight RPG
is on mobile by the way this is not even close this is just like very very shallow it's extremely shallow still after all this update is extremely shallow. And you know what's what's great? You're actually showing the Kaido's video and like it was two weeks ago and people are like, "Oh my god, like we are so back. This is amazing." Everyone's like, "Okay, let's go. Let's go." And and then there's the video from OG and everybody's like, "What the [ __ ] is this? After playing this for two days, I'm done." I mean, what?
But again, like this is not a problem of Supercell. Like Supercell can design pretty hardcore games.
What do you mean it's not a problem of Super Who is the problem? Like what are you talking about? It is exactly
I think it's a problem. No, no. I think
it's a problem of their business strategy because their business strategy is that the game needs to be super approachable, super broad, super wide or whatever like all these other things that they like operate on. And you cannot design an RPG this way. It's just impossible. There are no lightweight RPGs. like there's zero of them because lightweight RPG means a bad RPG
or unfinished RPG or how do you say like you just need depth like that's what RP like numbers go up that's RPGs if you cannot make numbers go up like it's like yeah it's boring like the people are like oh absolutely agree with OJ like it's fun at the start but once all weapons are unlocked it start to feel meaningless the retention problem is what no endame
you know how long it takes in current P of Exile iteration can go to the end game. And I know it's extreme, but still like it's so much time.
I'm just going to, you know, like kind of be on your side. This guy, the game has so much potential. It's simply lacking depth. It's like a sandwich with
one bread and lettuce. Good foundation, but no meat. Like I don't understand it all because again, the you know, as I said, why items are important for RPGs? Items are important for RPGs because you have chase items. You want to chase them. You have, you know, your carrot on a stick. That's the thing. You need to put it behind giant walls of randomness, which means that, you know, there's always a chance that you get this thing, whatever. Like any mob can drop this [ __ ] or or whatnot. That's there. And the other thing is that these items then enable you to create very interesting builds that you need to adjust every season that you need to adjust to your core gameplay that you need to da da da da da all these other
even if you have five items like what the [ __ ] is that?
Yes. Nothing.
Exactly.
So you three things you can do to improve this game. Yeah. Sorry.
Like the guy another guy like I was excited for this update. I played for two or three days. Got bored so fast. No loot, no progression, nothing to farm other than the [ __ ] stupid core.
Seeation cliff in plain language. Like there you go.
Like stats are not like fun to farm. You don't want to farm stats again.
Exo sheet.
My still like problem with this game and as I said it before like who is this for?
Yeah, exactly. Who the [ __ ] plays RPGs? Who plays that? like like Hello Kitty adventure like I don't understand Hello Kitty adventure guys man like it's so shallow like this is like like weapon progression like why don't I have like sockets why don't I have you know abilities skill tree why don't I have these like 20 different progression layers that I can customize my character and work on it for like a long time
because I don't think they have the skills to do this I I think they have the skills to do. They just don't want to do this because it would make the total addressable
audience this small.
Yeah. But they it's going to earn like so much more money which is going to be actually maybe on par with like whatever.
Yeah. But not in the west in Korea.
So I mean well like
Superell Supercell won't be able to make a game for Korea but I don't remember like usually Korea is different. That's Mob. That's
so
what I mean who cares if it's a mobile or not. I mean still
RPGs for Korean market are it gets
I don't think they have the skills for for doing this.
Okay. So anyway Korean style market RPG they don't have the skills for sure.
Yeah. Three things you would do to improve this game right now. What would be the top three
and move on? Kill it and move on.
That bad?
I don't think so there's any improvement because you would need to drastically change it. I mean like drastic
a new game. Yeah, like you would need to add like 90% of stuff that's not here cons considering that the what you have there is like 10% of what you need. That
that's how much content you would need to add into this. Like I don't I don't think so this can go anywhere in the current state because as I said even the like this color plet like I'm sorry I know it's supercell but this like have you seen like a like I remember where people are [ __ ] so much on Diablo II having like this rainbow level and everything and the graphics there because you know if you go back to like Diablo I Diablo I like action RPG roots it's all dark grim cold like lots of gore. No.
Yeah, there's certain principles in here which
like I don't know about like a funny nice rainbowish RPG. This is not not part of the genre. Like again who is this for? Like who is this for? Yeah, I've read like few things like how Supercell is like you know so far ahead of like of everyone and they are making this for like the future players but like what is it? That's very That's
almost as shallow as this game.
I don't know. Like I think there's like some kind of a giant paradigm mismatch here with like what what they're trying to achieve or what they're trying do or maybe they're just chasing this like audience on a vin diagram that doesn't exist. I don't know.
It's going to exist in five years. I mean after all Ilka said like this is a long-term play. Al although he said also like uh you know
Squad Buster is a great game. I don't know. Like I still don't understand. Like even at least I thought that this update would like like they would be more radical with what they did like to certain extent. Yeah, they did.
Yeah, but like add five six progression layers into this like not one
but they only had one year to do this. I don't know like I still think that a lot of times when you see these uh whatever let's not call it close beta iterations but again this game is live. I think this is the first game that Supercell is iterating so hard even
though after they launched.
Yeah. Yeah. I mean it's pretty much like it was dead before and now it's like
yeah still dead whatever. Uh again, I think guys are struggling to kind of change it but keep it in its like original form because that that's what how I see it here. Like like they got the assignment like change it, add more depth but keep it in its original form.
Yeah, change it but not too much.
Yes. Yes. And I like I'm guessing that there are people on the team that are like heavy RPG players or whoever and they're just like complaining as as like stuff's going and moving because they cannot do what they want. like that that's my guess.
I don't know. I don't know. They also started some UA in the in you know in
Oh, let me see the creatives
and then I mean I think like they are kind of in this because they have like these 800 creatives last 30 days. I mean not bad, right? But still like
what the game play
just pay attention to this. No pay to win.
Slay to win. Sure.
By the way, this is also one of the bigger complaints. There's no challenge. Everything is easy, especially in team wise. Like there's no like
I don't know leaderboards or ranking with like super hard bosses or something like Yeah,
exactly. I mean, at least there's like 60-second videos, but again, like it's this is game play. I mean, who cares? I mean, I I guess player too, but still just be creative. It's not going to be like too much. This is all like their old kind of video
the trailer.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Trailer hook and then just go and then just do the like action paste [ __ ] with gameplay and the same trailer. So even if we have 800 things here, 800 videos, it's still very shallow
as well. And I mean at least at least they are running uploading. But that's it. See 30 second video at the previous one. The first one that I showed was 60 seconds. It's the same ad. It's the same ad. And then everything else is just a combination of this. Okay, this is new
also like
I'm going to I'm going to show you few few charts afterwards to
Yeah, even this something
I mean maybe just we're getting old but still come on.
Why Why are we getting old?
I mean this is I don't I don't get this charact.
We are the main RPG audience. Come on.
Yeah, exactly. But I don't I don't really get like if I see this it's like what the what I'm looking at? I'm not really
demon hunters. looking at capable pretty much like okay so I will I will I yeah as you as as you said like the this is for future players so my daughter if when she's 15 which is in 10 years like
this is going to be a [ __ ] amazing game they already said it's going to be long term so okay let's you know good luck with that
without any like again with due respect this game just doesn't have an audience I'm sorry like with this feature set no
like I don't see it never show
I don't see it as well and then there's like you Tik Tok, Facebook up loving a little bit and that's it. And here we go. I mean that's done. Like since May 20, which is pretty much like 21st was the the launch of the launch of the update. So I like I'm thinking like this is going to last for more like the next two or three weeks and then it is just going to shut it down because if we if we look at let's say all time this not going to be all time but still push nothing update it was a couple of months but they still like this was the then after of August like they just relied on on Facebook and
that's it. Now it's all Facebook and nothing else. So I don't really know like what they're going to do with this, but I'm not seeing it very bright, but who am I to judge? And I don't want to say I don't want to sound like too negative, but it's just I would just like to be the fly on the wall when like people are talking about this and making the decision. And if is this like a last shot and then they will kill it? But then like what else do they have? They're basically doing soft launching, but they've already done the global launch.
But there is wrong. Like it's like what the [ __ ] is this soft launching? It's not even soft launch.
It's just it's just there.
It's like desperate pivot to do something.
And it's not even desperate because I know well it's desperate but not even a pivot properly. That's that's my that's my biggest issue. So you can show the grass, but I mean like how it's like why are you beating the dead horse already? I just Oh, hello. Hello there. I didn't see you. Thank you very much for coming

Everybody lost whatever on this. Blizzard fans pretty much like went apeshit crazy over it. 64 million launched month in like two months and then constantly doing
something like five to six 7 mil a month since send
but still I mean US come on
US is the main audience fight the way you're saying
so
but do you want to do five millions a month for like a
supercell game like what
who cares
we're going to argue with 14k a day or Sure, sure, sure, sure, sure. But I mean, even even like 5 mil a man, like it's nothing. Like, why would you even bother?
But because that's how RPGs work. Like there's not that many players for RPGs. Like that's
So you're making the argument like the game has pretty like small audience and it's just that's it.
That's it. Like again, this is the you know, it's it's called MMO RPG here, but there are clearly RPGs to like Diablos the first basically. So So that's there. First one is of course the fantasy westward journey. It's the one that's been here sitting since forever. It's still making like 20 mil a month at its
height. It's like again you don't even see all these numbers because it's just Chinese juggernaut and like no billion talk about because Asia is the mother of all RP how it works because you go downstairs here and you see exactly like Korea Korea China Korea Korea China I don't know Korea Korea Korea
Korea yeah
China again Korea and like and we go this way pretty much like forever. That's it.
And then also Runescape
Jagex. Yes. 24. That's your western like outlier.
Yeah. Which is still pretty.
Yeah. Old school Runescape. Yeah.
Which is as old school as it gets.
Exactly.
And that's pretty much like all like us
and you're going against this. So like come on guys. Like each of these games have spend content depth for years. I mean literally years. So
maybe maybe they should just add ads and then just leave it for in the interstitial advice fest
actually like we can check because if I remember correctly torch light uh the mobile version should have ads maybe they shut it down.
Yeah, I don't think I
I guess they shut it down.
No, on the on the first part look that's the that's that's it.
This one?
Yeah, that's the that's the that's the icon. That's the icon, man. Easy, easy, easy. Yeah. So, how much is going?
Okay.
$500 a day.
There's your [ __ ] flight.
There.
Jesus.
Jesus. Exactly. Not even six, seven Jesus will save the
I know. It's like, see, these are the season spikes. These are the season spikes. So even though
once a month there's a spike,
but it's going up.
No, once a month. Once every three
months. Yeah, that's it. That's the
every three months. Yeah, because once a month that's what modern RPGs work on. Like Ped exile started the system so long ago and and like everybody is just following what Pedal is because Pedal is the best RPG on the market. I'm sorry. Like just you cannot match their content depth. Nobody can. So not even Diablo. So yeah, this is this is the season curve how it should look like and actually you see it's increasing. So
yeah, that's why I said it's increasing. So it's going
for this kind of a small audience and like what's the DA here? Like
super small.
Yeah, see 15k DAU they are able to dish out 2 million a month.
Let's let's talk now.
Yeah.
So Jakob, what does this mean for Super before finishing?
So kill it. That's what it means for Super. I'm sorry. like either like completely like start a new game if you want to do an RPG like like it's just like unsalvageable. I'm sorry. Or turn it into mobile. You can do mobile with
with Brawl Stars like do some PV style mobile or whatever. Then you can do that or like I don't know just
PV Easter mobile. Wasn't that like a squad busters already?
Yeah, that's like that that game didn't want to like you know pick its side if it's PV or PVP.
Yeah,
that's that's a different thing. But yeah, it's like unsalvageable in my opinion in the current state. Like you would need so much content like the drastic changes is one thing. Like of course you can do drastic change but you would need for those drastic changes so much more content that it would take like a time of new game creation on top of it. Maybe two of your lightweight games by the way like if we take like Project R
what's the other one in in in in soft launch? Project R and
yeah the the boat boat game.
Yeah, boat game. Yeah. So, so the creation time of these two games plus maybe times three. So,
that's how much content you would need to add here in order to save it.
I mean, I I you know,
no way.
Everybody was kind of surprised to see Mo even like be kind of green lit and go
go global on.
Just no way.
It's an interesting year for like don't exist. They just don't like this is how it should look like in the truck. Low DAU giant spender. That's it. and with cosmetics like you already throw that out of the window.
Felix is smiling and being very politically correct.
Obviously,
I have no opinion. My specialty is ads. Like, who cares about my opinion?
Like, you have no power here.
Yeah, you have no power [laughter] here. Yeah, fair enough. Okay. Okay, fair enough.
You have no power here.
My land. Yeah.
Okay. Well, so it's dead again and I'm not sure like how long it's going to be dead still. Anyway, so guys, Supercell, good luck. I guess
kudos to you guys. Like, you're doing great things with your strategy games. And as we keep saying, please keep making
strategy games. Yes.
Please
go back to your [ __ ] roots and keep making those strategy games. You're
I really want like next podcast to
review some new soft launch supercell strategy game. Please,
that would be awesome.
Yes,
it would be really good. Anyway, so that's it. Thank you very much guys for listening. Kudos to Supercell. Good luck with everything. We might have sound like a little bit more negative than positive, but not everything is as positive as it looks, which in this case it is not really. Anyway, thank you very much. Supercell’s title Mo.co faces a critical existential crisis, as its current design fails to gain traction within the competitive RPG market. Despite a recent relaunch that elevated daily active users to approximately 230,000, the game generates a negligible $14,000 in daily revenue. This financial performance is starkly insufficient when compared to the company’s established strategy portfolio, signaling that the project is currently failing to convert its player base into a sustainable revenue stream.
The fundamental issue stems from a misalignment between the game’s lightweight, broad-market design and the expectations of the RPG audience. By prioritizing accessibility over depth, the developers have neglected essential mechanics such as complex build customization, meaningful chase items, and robust endgame progression. This aesthetic and mechanical approach has resulted in an identity crisis that alienates hardcore players without successfully capturing a casual demographic. Because the RPG genre is dominated by mature titles with years of accumulated content, the effort required to bring Mo.co up to industry standards would likely exceed the development cost of multiple new, more viable projects.
Given these systemic flaws, the consensus suggests that the game is effectively unsalvageable in its current iteration. The project lacks a clear target audience and fails to leverage the developer's core competencies in strategy-based gameplay. To preserve resources and maintain institutional focus, the most logical path forward involves either a radical pivot toward a MOBA structure or a complete cancellation of the project. Continuing to iterate on the existing framework is unlikely to resolve the title's core deficiencies, making a strategic withdrawal the most prudent course of action for the studio.
