Summary

The League of Legends Championship Korea (LCK) has renewed its strategic partnership with Singapore-based media company ONE Esports, designating the firm as the official media partner for the 2023 competitive season. This collaboration marks the second consecutive year of the partnership, following an initial agreement established in mid-2022. While specific financial terms remain undisclosed, the arrangement mandates that ONE Esports produce and distribute comprehensive coverage and content surrounding the LCK’s professional matches throughout the year.

This partnership integrates into a broader commercial ecosystem for the LCK, which maintains a robust roster of returning sponsors including major global brands such as Tiffany & Co., Logitech G, and LG, alongside regional partners like CJ CGV and OP.GG. The 2023 season holds heightened significance for the South Korean league, as the region prepares to host the League of Legends World Championship in Seoul later this year. This event follows a successful 2022 campaign that saw South Korean teams DRX and T1 secure the top two placements at the global tournament.

The scope of this media arrangement covers the entirety of the 2023 LCK season, focusing on enhancing the league’s digital presence and audience engagement. By leveraging ONE Esports’ distribution capabilities, the LCK aims to maintain its status as a premier professional esports circuit while capitalizing on the domestic momentum generated by the upcoming World Championship. The partnership reinforces the league’s commitment to high-quality content production as it navigates a pivotal year for the professional League of Legends landscape.
