Gen.G Esports Partners With Crocs for Fortnite Content

Gen.G Esports and footwear brand Crocs have collaborated to expand the reach of the Crocs World gaming property by launching a custom experience within Fortnite. Utilizing the Unreal Editor for Fortnite, the companies developed Crocs World Tycoon, a revamped version of an experience previously established on Roblox and Minecraft. The original Roblox iteration of the game successfully attracted over 5 million players since its 2022 launch, serving as the foundation for this new cross-platform integration.

The initiative centers on a four-week campaign titled Personalize Your Classics, which encourages players to engage with design-centric, beach-themed park building challenges. To drive user participation and community engagement, the campaign incorporates a rewards system where players can earn battle pass experience and compete for physical prize packs, including custom Xbox Design Lab controllers, Crocs footwear, and Jibbitz charms. The experience is accessible via a specific island code and features diverse gameplay elements such as grind rails, vehicles, and optional player-versus-player combat.

To maximize visibility and reach within the gaming community, Gen.G has enlisted a roster of prominent content creators, including Nick Eh, Sypher, and MustardPlays, to promote the experience. This partnership reflects a broader trend of Gen.G diversifying its portfolio through strategic brand collaborations and developer support, following recent efforts to promote titles like Storm Striker in the North American market. By leveraging the Fortnite ecosystem, the collaboration aims to bridge the gap between established digital brand assets and the highly active Fortnite player base.
