The UK-based tournament organizer BLAST has announced that the BLAST Premier Spring Final will be held in Washington D.C. from June 7–11, 2023. This event marks the organization’s return to the United States for a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) competition, the first such occurrence since July 2019. The tournament will take place at the Entertainment & Sports Arena, a venue with a capacity of approximately 4,000 seats.
The competition features eight teams vying for a share of a $450,000 USD prize pool, with the winner securing a spot in the World Finals. The participant field is determined through a qualification process that includes the BLAST Premier Spring Groups in Copenhagen and two regional Spring Showdown events.
To facilitate the event, BLAST has entered into partnerships with Events DC, the city’s official convention and sports authority, and Monumental Sports & Entertainment. While the financial terms of these partnerships remain undisclosed, the collaboration leverages the extensive local infrastructure and sports management expertise of Monumental Sports & Entertainment, which oversees various professional teams and entertainment venues in the Washington D.C. area.
