Top Mobile Games Worldwide for June 2020 by Downloads

The mobile gaming industry experienced significant shifts in user acquisition during June 2020, as evidenced by global download rankings across the Apple App Store and Google Play. The primary objective of this analysis is to identify the most successful mobile titles by install volume, highlighting the continued dominance of casual and hyper-casual genres alongside major competitive titles.

My Talking Tom Friends secured the top position globally with 37.5 million installs, driven largely by strong performance in India and Brazil. Save The Girl followed closely in second place with 30.2 million installs, maintaining a similar geographic distribution. The top five was completed by Garena Free Fire, Tangle Master 3D, and PUBG Mobile. Notably, the market saw several new entrants in the top 10, including Stack Colors, which reached 19 million installs. Supercell’s Brawl Stars also achieved a significant milestone, recording its second-best month for downloads with 9.7 million installs on the App Store, largely attributed to its successful launch in the Chinese market.

The data is derived from the Store Intelligence platform, covering worldwide unique installs between June 1 and June 30, 2020. The methodology excludes pre-installed applications, Apple-developed apps, and third-party Android stores, focusing instead on aggregate installs across all versions of a title. By tracking these metrics, the analysis provides a clear snapshot of consumer demand and the impact of regional market expansions on global mobile gaming trends.
