The game generated $153.9 million in worldwide revenue.
The mobile gaming industry experienced significant revenue shifts in October 2019, characterized by the dominance of established titles and the rapid ascent of new market entrants. Tencent’s PUBG Mobile secured the top position globally, generating approximately $153.9 million in gross user spending—a sevenfold increase compared to the same period in the previous year. China served as the primary revenue driver for this growth, accounting for 65 percent of the title's total earnings. Honor of Kings, also published by Tencent, followed as the second highest-earning game with $116.2 million, with 92 percent of its revenue originating from the Chinese market.
The rankings also highlighted the emergence of new top-tier performers and the sustained momentum of established franchises. Coin Master achieved a milestone by entering the top 10 global revenue generators for the first time, recording $63.1 million in monthly revenue. Similarly, Homescapes demonstrated strong performance with $62.7 million in earnings, consistently outperforming its predecessor, Gardenscapes, throughout 2019. Additionally, Three Kingdoms - Strategic, launched in China in September 2019, quickly established itself as a major financial success, generating $52.1 million on the App Store during October.
These findings are based on gross user spending data derived from the Sensor Tower Store Intelligence platform, covering worldwide revenue across the Apple App Store and Google Play for October 2019. The analysis excludes revenue from third-party Android marketplaces. Other notable titles rounding out the top-grossing list included Candy Crush Saga, Pokémon GO, and Lineage M, reflecting a diverse landscape of global mobile gaming monetization.
