The PMGC 24 event is scheduled to take place in London from December 6–8, 2024.
PUBG Mobile Esports has entered into a sponsorship agreement with Qiddiya Gaming, a government-owned mega-city project in Saudi Arabia. While the financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed, the partnership aims to integrate Qiddiya Gaming into the global PUBG Mobile ecosystem. Marketing activations are scheduled to commence during the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC 24), held in London from December 6–8, 2024.
The collaboration is expected to include traditional promotional elements such as arena signage, social media branding, and broadcast integration across platforms like YouTube and Twitch. Furthermore, the partnership will extend into the game’s digital environment through the World of Wonder mode, allowing for community-driven content creation and customization. This move aligns with Qiddiya’s broader strategy to establish Saudi Arabia as a central hub for the global gaming and esports industry, a key component of the nation's economic diversification efforts.
This agreement follows a series of similar investments by Saudi-backed entities within the gaming sector, including previous sponsorships of prominent World of Warcraft guilds and a multi-year deal between Level Infinite and the Esports World Cup Foundation. Despite the strategic growth of these partnerships, they continue to draw scrutiny from international human rights organizations regarding the geopolitical context of state-funded investments in entertainment. The partnership represents a continued effort by Saudi-backed projects to secure high-visibility placements within major international esports tournaments.
