NRG Esports Rides With KIA America into Worlds 2023

NRG Esports, a Los Angeles-based professional gaming organization, has entered into a strategic partnership with KIA America. This collaboration centers on the organization’s League of Legends team, which currently holds the title of North American champions. The alliance is timed to coincide with the team's participation in the 2023 League of Legends World Championship, marking a significant branding opportunity for the automotive manufacturer within the competitive gaming sector.

The partnership involves a multi-faceted marketing approach, including prominent logo placement on official team jerseys and integrated branding across NRG’s social media and streaming platforms. Beyond traditional advertising, the two entities plan to produce collaborative content, such as behind-the-scenes footage, exclusive interviews, and interactive segments designed to bridge the interests of gaming and automotive enthusiasts. While the financial terms of the agreement remain undisclosed, the deal adds KIA America to an existing portfolio of high-profile partners associated with the organization, including Rockstar Energy, ASUS, and the Army National Guard.

This development highlights the ongoing integration of non-endemic brands into the esports ecosystem, specifically targeting the League of Legends competitive circuit. By leveraging the visibility of a championship-caliber team, KIA America aims to engage with the highly active demographic of esports fans. The partnership underscores the continued commercial relevance of professional League of Legends teams as vehicles for brand activation and audience connection in the North American market.
