This agreement builds upon an initial rights deal established between NODWIN Gaming and The Game Awards in 2023.
NODWIN Gaming has extended its partnership with The Game Awards, securing the distribution rights for the annual event across a broader range of international markets. This agreement builds upon an initial collaboration established in 2023 and aims to increase the accessibility of the globally televised ceremony, which celebrates gaming excellence, industry creators, and competitive esports.
The expanded scope of the deal covers India, Myanmar, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Taiwan. To reach audiences in these high-growth regions, NODWIN Gaming plans to utilize a multi-channel distribution strategy, incorporating television broadcasts, over-the-top (OTT) media services, online platforms, and influencer-led channels. While the financial specifics of the agreement remain undisclosed, the partnership underscores NODWIN Gaming’s strategic focus on bridging the gap between global gaming content and youth audiences in South Asia and Southeast Asia.
This development follows recent financial activity for the India-based company, which received a significant investment commitment of approximately $7.56 million from Nazara Technologies. By continuing its role as a regional distributor for The Game Awards, NODWIN Gaming reinforces its position as a key facilitator of gaming festivals and competitive events within its primary operating territories. The 10-year anniversary edition of the event is scheduled for December 12, serving as the primary showcase for this expanded distribution effort.
