Level Infinite, the gaming brand under Tencent Holdings, has announced a $10 million investment dedicated to its global PUBG Mobile esports ecosystem for 2025. This initiative aims to strengthen the competitive pipeline by bridging the gap between amateur and professional play, while simultaneously expanding support for grassroots development and women’s esports. The funding will be distributed across prize pools, regional tournament infrastructure, and various community-focused programs.
The 2025 strategy includes the launch of over 20 regional tournaments spanning Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Central and South Asia, and the Americas. These events are designed to provide clear qualification pathways into major professional circuits, such as the PUBG Mobile Super League and the PUBG Mobile Global Open. Key international events are also scheduled, with the Global Open taking place in Uzbekistan during the spring, the World Cup occurring in Riyadh as part of the Esports World Cup in the summer, and the Global Championship set for Thailand.
Beyond tournament operations, the investment supports the PUBG Mobile Esports Partnership Program and the Esports Creation Program, which focuses on caster development, storytelling, and content creation. The company is also incentivizing community participation through initiatives like the PDP Design Contest, which features a $60,000 prize pool. By integrating these diverse support mechanisms, the organization intends to foster a more sustainable and inclusive competitive environment for players at all skill levels.
