Honda Partners With Twitch Rivals

Honda has entered into a strategic partnership with Amazon-owned streaming platform Twitch to become the official automotive partner of the Twitch Rivals tournament series. While the financial terms of the agreement remain undisclosed, the collaboration aims to leverage the platform’s celebrity-driven competitive events to promote the 2025 Civic hybrid sedan.

The partnership centers on an interactive content series titled Chat’s Civic Mods, which invites the Twitch community to participate in customizing the vehicle in-stream. This engagement initiative will culminate at TwitchCon 2024 in San Diego, where the crowdsourced design will be unveiled and subsequently awarded to a member of the Twitch community. Beyond this interactive segment, the agreement includes the integration of Honda branding across the Twitch Rivals channel and associated social media platforms during competitive broadcasts.

This move represents a continuation of Honda’s long-standing commitment to the gaming and esports sectors. The automaker has previously established a presence in the industry through its Honda Head2Head gaming channel, partnerships with organizations such as Team Liquid, and various activations within the League of Legends Championship Series and Fortnite. By aligning with Twitch Rivals, Honda reinforces its strategy of utilizing non-endemic sponsorships to reach highly engaged digital audiences through interactive, community-focused marketing campaigns.
