Helldivers 2 emerged as a significant commercial success in early 2024, securing its position as the highest-grossing title on PC and PlayStation 5 during February. Market intelligence data indicates that the game’s revenue performance was particularly strong in the United States and the United Kingdom, which served as the primary markets. During February, 4.8% of the global PC and PlayStation audience engaged with the game, with players logging an average of 20.2 hours. While the title ranked 15th in monthly active users across all games, it maintained a strong competitive presence within the shooter genre. Audience acquisition data shows a notable overlap with established titles, as a significant portion of users transitioning from games like Fortnite, Palworld, and The Finals migrated to the platform.

The game’s rapid growth is further evidenced by its Steam performance, where it achieved a peak of over 450,000 concurrent players and maintained the top-grossing position for five consecutive weeks. Having surpassed one million units sold within its first week, industry estimates suggest the total sales volume has since exceeded eight million units. These findings underscore the title's status as a major commercial achievement for both developer Arrowhead Game Studios and publisher Sony.
