Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery has achieved a significant financial milestone, surpassing $500 million in global player spending since its launch in April 2018. Developed by Jam City, the title maintains its position as the highest-grossing mobile game within the Harry Potter intellectual property franchise. This performance underscores the enduring commercial viability of the brand in the mobile gaming sector, even six years after its initial release.
Data provided by Sensor Tower indicates that the United States serves as the primary market, accounting for over 50% of total revenue, followed by Germany, the United Kingdom, and France. While the United States also leads in total downloads, Brazil and India represent the second and third largest markets for user acquisition. In the first half of 2024, the game further distinguished itself by becoming the highest-grossing adventure simulation title on iOS and Android, generating five times the revenue of its closest competitor, PAW Patrol Rescue World.
The analysis relies on gross revenue figures from Sensor Tower, which track total player spending. Alternative estimates from AppMagic, which account for net revenue after platform fees and taxes, place the lifetime figure at approximately $369.7 million. Despite these methodological differences, both sources confirm the game's status as the leader among Harry Potter mobile titles, outperforming other entries such as Harry Potter: Magic Awakened and the discontinued Wizards Unite. The consistent growth trajectory, marked by steady revenue milestones since 2018, highlights the title's sustained engagement within the global mobile gaming market.
