The Berlin-based esports data platform, GRID, has entered into a strategic global partnership with the South Korean e-Sports Association (KeSPA). This collaboration aims to integrate GRID’s specialized data services into the South Korean esports ecosystem, supporting KeSPA’s broader objective of fostering sustainable growth through data-driven insights and international alignment. While the financial terms of the agreement remain undisclosed, the partnership positions GRID as a key technical partner for the association.
KeSPA, which operates under the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and maintains ties to the Korean Olympic Committee and the International e-Sports Federation, currently manages 16 esports titles. By leveraging GRID’s proprietary platform, which provides in-game telemetry, analytics, and integrity solutions, KeSPA intends to enhance its oversight and development of these competitive titles. GRID’s technology is already utilized by major game publishers for prominent titles such as League of Legends, Valorant, and Counter-Strike 2.
This partnership reflects a concerted effort to professionalize the management of South Korea’s competitive gaming landscape. By utilizing GRID’s infrastructure for data sourcing and distribution, KeSPA seeks to refine its analytical capabilities, ensuring that its regulatory and developmental frameworks remain competitive on a global scale. The agreement underscores the increasing importance of data integrity and advanced analytics in the professionalization of regional esports governance.
