Last 30 days.
Last Okay. Last 30 days. What's the last 30 days only?
US is the first by 24% of revenue. Japan 23%. South Korea 13. And then we have the typical Asian tier one. Taiwan, Hong Kong,
and Singapore somewhere here. But there's also like France, Germany, Austria, but small.
The US on the top is quite nice.
Yes, exactly. That that's the that's the key.
That's very important. It's 4 a.m. and we're rolling the dice. [music] Mate drops knowledge made of golden eyes. Felix with ads making those coins rise. Jack up designs worlds chasing the sky. We're [music] the two and a half gamers. The midnight crew talking UA advers and game design too. Mat feeling shak bringing the insight. We're rocking those vibes till the early daylight. [music] Master eyes on the prize. Tracking data through the cyerspace skies. Felix stacks colors like a wizard in [music] disguise. Jacks lift us to the high. Two and a half gamers talking smack. Slow hockey stick [music] got your back. Ads are
beautiful. They light the way. Click it fast. Don't delay. [music] Uhhuh. Uhhuh. Aha. Uhhuh. [music]
Or can we start?
Well, I don't know. [snorts] It looks like the the energy is really down.
It's cuz you know what it is. I know exactly what it is. Jakob is not wearing a black t-shirt for the first time in like
also there is no light. There is no light. This I mean this is a swag. Two and a half gamer swag. But
literally like you are like where is your light ring Yakob? You're super dark and as soon as you in one on one monitor it's not white background then you you go dark. Literally you just did it like 10 seconds ago. So up to anyway I mean whatever we'll make it happen as usual hopefully with more energy this time. Oh
yeah. Oh Yakuba can see. O there you go. There's [laughter] your there's your V background finally. Now we can start. Most mobile games leave serious revenue on the table and it's almost never the game. It's live ops and game ops. Kinoa is the AI operating system for mobile game operations. flows, live segments, inner messages, push notifications, AB testing, all in one place. Real time run by the operators who actually own the numbers. No dev tickets. K first pulled plus 43% Arabdo play studios plus 31% revenue on Tetris block party. Same players, more revenue integrated ours. That's Kinoa. I personally invested as well. Thank you very much for sponsoring this episode. Hello everybody. My name is Machari. I'm Felix Probert and I'm
That's right. O, we are your hosts and today we're going to talk about Overgeeared Heroes. An interesting game
hero. Okay, I mean hero hero hero. I'm sorry. Let's dive right in. It's an interesting interesting.
This is so Japanese. Like
no
no
like the second biggest geo is Japan. Like yeah,
that's not Japanese, man. It's so Japanese.
It's so Japanese.
No, I'm not saying it, but I'm saying it must click with Japanese audiences. I'm not saying it's Japanese made, but like Yeah.
Uh, you could check which the company's from, but I'm guessing
Korea.
Mi knows where the company's from. Where are they from? [snorts]
Five minute lab.
Yep. I can't tell.
Can't tell.
Anyway,
problem number one. This app doesn't allow emulator. Yes, it's great.
Which is great and not great in one place. Anyway, let me use
for you
screen recording.
So, to do it the oldfashioned way.
Oo.
So, immediately, let's do gameplay first
and then we'll do numbers numbers afterwards. So, immediately after you see it, you can get the hobby RPG screen layout.
Yeah. Not only the layout itself but also the you know the energy system is there the expedition meaning the how is it called the idle system. Yeah. Let me go through like just the menus so we see what's there. So there's the typical gacha that is dropping the S tier gear. Uh one for 300 for 10 times more with some kind of a cumulative assured rate. then the legendary chest, then these two chest, one for free, and then turns three ads a day, then the epic one, and you know, all the usual things. It's it's there. It's like but there's this one addition which is very very important backpacks express
which is something completely new and it very nicely complements the loop and you'll see why that you literally can bring a bigger backpack and backpack means everything in this game because this game is actually a derivative of backpack hero.
Yes. So, they are literally selling this giant giant thing. By the way, you can buy one with gems, which I would definitely buy if I had 7k gems. I guess that would be the best spend of gems that you can get. Then we have the usual kind of things around it which means lots of ads and lots of kind of additional layers of packages that you have there weekly, monthly anchor gems and so on so forth. So that's there. Then we have the power progression layers which are for now pets uh which are nice and as usual just HP damage or armor additions with some skill. And then we have the typical
gear stuff. In this case,
the gear stuff
the gear is is functioning very differently. Even though progression of the gear is basically the hobby merge catcher where you again are merging these things together. If they increase in rarity, they increase their stats or like unlock their stats. Again, we are merging them three to one as usual. Nothing really to it. And if you upgrade one level of a gear, it's automatically upgraded whenever you put like a gear from that category on yourself. Keep in mind the gear. I'll show you later what's the big difference of it. Then we have the usual upgrade tree. Again, three upgrades. You're just going up linearly. You don't choose anything. You need to upgrade all three. Blah blah blah. That's just normal power scaling. Nothing to it. Then some additional modes such as endless tower, pet dungeon, hero dungeon. pretty much each of these for each separate currency that you need to farm every day and you know tickets and stuff. That's the typical
RPG layer. Nothing really to it. Then we have what do we have here? Some again, yeah, that's the chapter reward chests. And yeah, this is the idle chest basically. Again, very typical hobby design. Nothing really to it. when you have the quick expedition to quickly spend energy or watch an ad again do the same thing. 24-hour cap timer on the idle mechanic. That's classic. Nothing to it. And then
if you say nothing to it one more time [ __ ] going to to your house and kill you.
You need to you need to definitely expand on that a little bit because haven't actually watched our happy episode or know what that means cuz they're actually here to learn. So it's the typical idle management mechanic where you need to come back to the game otherwise it won't acrue value and won't generate value. So
so valuable. Thank you Yaka for sharing.
No worries.
Then we have some events that are currently running such as pet rush which
is again you being able to spend so much more on your pets or chapter rush which is you rushing chapters. Basically it's quite simple. And then the typical [laughter]
you wanted to say nothing to it. You [ __ ] Yeah, I knew it. I I knew it. Oh my god.
And then the monetization mechanics. It's there like
So what you're trying to say is basically they have playable pets that you can also upgrade so you can spend more money.
Yeah. Isn't the power progression layer? It's like archer also has that. Survivor eye also has that. They will have characters next or what secondary. It's it's classic power progressions that you need to put into RPG. Now this is where it starts to be interesting.
Yes.
So you go to the action.
This is not simple.
This is nothing to it. Not nothing to it. Oh, okay.
This is not simple.
All right. Yeah.
All right.
Well, let's hear Yeah. Let's hear more. I'm very interested in this. Yeah. Yeah.
Can you can you explain please? This is
good.
Okay. Let's go. So immediately you see that we are selecting a backpack and we have the default backpack that the game gives you which is these I don't know four times what six plus two more where we put our items again we can increase it if we buy it for the biggest one being the $11 offer basically which gives us not only starting inventory but also inventory to work with during the game play which is very important. The items that you see here are the ones that are starting in your inventory. You are actually taking for me for instance is the sword and the armor and it's five out of five because one is two and one is three in instead of capacity and I can also for instance switch this armor for a dog because dog is in the category of three and I can again like manage my starting inventory in the backpack itself. Let me guess. All these items you can also upgrade.
No.
Oh,
this is the kicker because the gear that you see here, you see these things?
Uh you remember when I was going after the gear? This is basically my starting gear and it will be in your inventory starting and it's unmergeable. It's just there and it's not part of the recipes.
[snorts]
It just helps you start it again if you upgrade it and do stuff with it because again it's quite uh as you see here effective and like it's doing stuff there but it's not part of the recipe book. That is very very critical because what this is all about if we continue these items are all usually part of the recipes. Your starting gear is not which is the critical difference. Sorry. Sorry. Explain that to me. How does that deepen the spend depth? Because that's usually what you do with these games, right? Or doesn't it?
What do you mean deepen the spend dep
you from the new one come up? They make it deeper, right? So, how does that make it deeper?
It's a rogue light mechanic because the further you go, the stronger you are at the start because the starting gear is already there. If I would just go into the like whatever chapter eight or 10, I would just still bring these two initial starting items without the gear. I would be very weak. But here, because the initial gear is filling up my inventory, which is compensating for the lack of items that I don't have at the start of the loop of this kind of rog light run, I'm stronger because I upgraded all that stuff in in meta game, which is outside of core gameplay.
Okay,
so it's compensating that difference. Therefore, they can raise the stats of enemies.
I don't think I don't think I don't think Felix is
getting it.
Getting it.
I was surprised cuz like the admon strategy and the admon roll out was like simplest I've seen in so yeah like but
anyway like yeah I didn't get that at all.
Like for instance here we have chapter five dark hallway and you see the dungeons. So there's like three encounters then a boss another three encounters boss three encounters and the final boss. Yeah.
So, that's there. And uh I don't have it here on my video, but I have a video of the game being played. So, we can check that one out. What?
What? What a change in your face. So much light.
Yeah. So much light.
And I wonder where did I put the tab? Because I'm missing.
You have millions of tabs. You know, you know when when Jakob is looking for the tab, Mate,
do you think they use some kind of web shop? Do you think they use some kind of web shop?
I'm not sure, but maybe maybe they work with with Fastpring, you know, because these guys are on the market for 20 years and working with the with the biggest mobile publishers. And if you want to start your own web shop or replace your current D2C setup,
go to fastspring.gg. And don't forget to tell them like two and a half gamers sent you. But yeah, fastspring.gg. Fastspring.gg. Go there and start your web shop. Thank you very much for sponsoring this episode. Obviously,
there we go.
That was that was the one. We are in the battle now and what's happening here that it's always a fight between our hero and one enemy. And there's a shop phase and there's a fighting phase. There's always these two things that kind of switch.
And the shop phase is basically me seeing what are the new items in the shop that I can purchase or merge and me starting a battle and directly going against my enemy. What you see here already is for instance this item is blinking because it's telling me if I put in see for instance this item and that item will evolve that item. Yeah.
And merge together. Same goes with this other item which again is blinking because it's saying something in my inventory. The guy didn't do it and he just again refreshed and get another set of items that maybe could be working for him. The order of items is also very important. It's not only that you need to play Tetris and actually equip them in your backpack and put them there. As you have seen there, they have these like near item pretty much bonuses or whatnot. Yeah.
Where if you if you drag something,
it was these like circles or stuff. Where is it?
He evolved.
Yeah. Here for instance, you see this kind of a blade
on weapon hit refunds 30% of cool down. So like items near it will be filling these circles and it will be considered as those weapons part of the ability. So you need to arrange them like near the weapon near the armor whatever like pretty much it's not about tetris only it's also about the position in the tetris and as you go again you just
start the battle and there's the loop. The character against you also has his backpack by the way and you can see it and you can prepare for it what's in his backpack. You can work with completely new vector as well that you basically have to arrange it in the proximity to get benefits
or
yes it's addition additional vector to backpack hero if I understand backpack hero doesn't have this like this is this is very very specific
so again here we have another set of items that I can purchase and pretty much go from there this is some kind of a boss dungeon so it's always a boss uh against against me but again if I go here again I purchase this I purchase that so on so forth. See for instance these two potions now after the battle will merge together after I use them. See and bam they merge together to a better potion. And you see that it changes size. So I need to put it somewhere here. Here we have the
auxiliary slot of like let's say items I cannot put into the backpack. I can move them there and here. But I need to find now two spots for this. I cannot just leave it like this because it won't function properly. So again, you need to play the inventory tetris on top of it, of course. And as you go, of course, you merge stronger and stronger item. I think there's like four or five levels from like common, rare, epic, legendary. Some quite literally like five items into one that you need to merge. Again, you see the layout and everything. It's kind of quite different as you continue. So we can there we have again this dragon guy. The fairy dragon is pretty strong as you go. So on see like all these item merge together pretty much this torch again we destroy guy continue see
nothing to it. No, it's a lot of it to it because for instance, you see where this guy is coming from that he's actually using a lot of health potions because again there's like a lot of
abilities popping up and in the loop actually when we switch here you see how like a lot of stats are being put there that's that's like affecting it. By the way, you can watch an ad to skip faster. So this battle is like times two or whatn not and then I'm guessing like later down for microtransactions you can even like go even faster. That's kind of going after it again. We won the dungeon and then you see which items did what attack so on so forth and then there's the usual times to add placement for the stuff that you have won there. And there goes the loop. So again, it's quite different that your usual not even backpack hero but also like a survivor IO where the starting inventory is part of the core gameplay and is affecting the core gameplay because it's again offsetting the problem of you not starting with nothing. But I for instance in the current chapters I
playing I sell a lot of stuff of that in the beginning because it's not that strong and I can still get better items from the ones that actually can be merged in the game play. So, I just sell it off. But again, later down the line, especially if you buy a bigger backpack, you need everything, of course, that's there. But, uh, again, it's quite different and it's very engaging. Let me just say that that once you get to it, there's a lot of stuff that can happen.
There's a lot of stuff [clears throat] you can do.
Yeah. Yeah. And it's like very deep. Let me just say that. It's it's very deep loop.
Yeah. And this is pretty much it as for the game play. like you you do a lot of these let's say item comparisons, item checks or like rearrange them. I know for instance once I get like the whole dungeon I was pretty strong and then just didn't have enough damage for the late hero and so
strong Yakob was pretty strong. Nice.
Finally anyway.
Anyway, it's very interesting innovation let me say on the backpack hero I think one of the strongest one that we have seen yet because every single game on
the market kind of failed. that was that was doing the backpack hero setup. Okay. Numbers. So
yeah. Anyway, like the as I said like the companies from Korea.
Yeah. parent companies craft on pretty much just
so the game is doing something now like 100k a day from its launch somewhere at the 1st of June
and it's doing kind of solid 20k downloads a day for like
that's pretty good
yeah for for this kind of midcore RPG I think this be very good
uh let me do counter filter so we can answer Felix burning questions yeah [snorts] last 30 days last okay last 30 days let's do last 30 days only US is the first by 24% of revenue Japan 23% South Korea 13 and then we have the typical Asian
tier one Taiwan Hong Kong
and Singapore somewhere here but there's also like France Germany Austria but small US on the top is quite nice
yes exactly that that's the that's the key
that's very important Oh, hello. Hello there. I didn't see you. Thank you very much for coming to this episode. Yeah. Because a lot of games coming from Asia or being developed there like they struggle with US market like we discussed 11 11% like
they couldn't crack us at all at all
and it's probably their design not UA
fair enough
but both actually both actually
US still being the biggest
DA you still need different creatives for for us than than for Asia.
Yeah. Yeah.
The interesting thing is like their admon setup basically says that they really care about the ad revenue a lot in Japan because basically they have only seven networks in their ad stack. So they have line as one of them right the Japanese only network which is pretty much I guess like I think I guess if I'm understanding it correctly it's like
WhatsApp and Twitter allin one. That's
lime from understanding it.
And they're by the way in the puzzle RPG category on the six spot already.
Puzzle RPG category. What the [ __ ] I looked at this one.
What? Like why why like why are they there? I know the category, but like why they're they like that's the question mark. Not like like this category exists. [ __ ] hell. Like seriously, what do what who do you think I am? Serious. I mean come on. I thought it was only empires and puzzles this whole category for the last 10 years.
Oh no, don't don't don't start with this.
What the [ __ ] are you talking about?
Or maybe you start. Maybe
this is the first game in the world that ever grows $1 billion ever. Like this is the heart of mobile gaming. Come on. [laughter]
I mean, you keep digging because then you'll he will wake up maybe. So it's it's it's good. Yeah, go for it. Fishmore. Fishmore feel.
This is Monster Strike and this is Puzzle and Dragons, man. Everything that
you do is derivative of these two games.
All right. All right. All right.
Which games?
Monster Strike and Puzzle and Dragons.
I've never heard of them.
See, now now you're more alive. Definitely. Anyway, this just tells you that it's so quite high there in that category. But again, I'm not really sure it belongs there because it's
it doesn't belong there. Yeah,
it's almost like we discussed with
it's very unique core
like hecken/experhero or whatever was
this this is more of like a rog light like I would
there is no category for rog light is is there I don't know if like survivor I is what like
I can slash two
yeah it'll be some kind of like shoot them up or something them [ __ ] But if I go shoot them up, I think shoot them up is also like stuff
that's like completely relevant.
I think tower should hire you Jakob just to do all their categorization.
No, no, no, no. Why? Like it's like shoot them up and their cousin heckens a lane right to it. Does shoot them up. Okay.
Shoot them up.
Yeah.
I love how you said, "Okay, let's shoot you back up into the overear hero." Okay, great.
Okay, there you go. Felix, anything for the ads?
Yeah, so seven networks. The the ones that are missing is Vungle and Maloco from a setup like this. But the interesting thing is there's very simple how they do the admon setup. So it's 12 rewarded places.
What does simple mean?
Simple means that basically all they do is they roll out all ads after a certain progression point. So basically it's round six on the first floor, then all ads come at once.
Boom.
Okay.
So it's just tied to progression completely.
Uh 12 rewarded placements.
Yeah. Don't make that much everything else, but yeah,
man. It's like 10 15% ad revenue.
17.
So about 19k a day. Uh plus minus 56k. But since it's only 100k da, it's not going to be bigger than that. No way. It's not going to be like 30, I think.
Yeah. But still, I mean, not bad, but
it's like an old survivor. Like, it's old hobby pretty much. It was always around there as well, right?
No, but like where where would you put it then? Like
habi has completely different curve than these guys. These are flat. Hobby is just starts very high and always goes down. We'll see what happens in two months.
Yeah. So again because look at look at this curve like this this curve is not hobby curve definitely.
Yeah.
Oh wow.
It still it still goes up. Yeah it still goes.
Yeah. Yeah.
Right. If you add on another like on top
of this Yeah. If they stay like this on you know on their current level of spend or what not like the profitability is definitely high.
Yeah. So
yeah, but again like this 20% like what would you need to do differently to be like 35
more hybrid?
Yeah. Would would it make sense though?
No, you don't because you can't scale this on high volume because it's not approachable. It's like you know all the Felixes will just see it and leave.
Yeah.
You can't scale this on high volume.
I don't know what's going on. Like give me more space and there's like stuff next to it. [laughter] He needs to go to learn about puzzle RPG category.
Yeah. Okay. Fair enough. Fair enough. But okay. Yeah. And this this audience doesn't really like ads anyway.
Yakob even had to explain it to me like I'm a Labrador.
I mean well
it's quite complex like it's not like
this is not an easy game play and uh very good innovation. So that's I really like especially the package that you can buy to extend the starting backpack. You mean the
Y CPI must be eye watering or something like this, right?
It must be quite high though.
It must be high.
I have like this one which was I was looking into. The thing is it's exactly what you you mentioned like this is an audience which is very similar to hab's audience pretty much. It's complex gameplay. What does hobby do well in their creative?
Hardcore PC pixel visual.
Yes. like this screams something like I don't know Castlevania or
even Balatro
Shovel Knight or whatnot or like these PC indie games.
So if I tell if I ask you a question like what does Sabi show in the game play usually after all these like fake gameplay? Do you know
explosions and a lot of hordes?
They they you alter gameplay
and they do explanatory videos like, "Hey, merge this and this. You you're going to have this and this is the skill tree. This is like pretty much explaining how to play the game.
That's like that's the end game for hobby because that's what the audience wants to see besides all these fake game plays, right? and and altered and whatnot because we can clearly see a lot of it in here as well. I mean, I'm looking at Facebook only right now. Let's just do all and honestly
by doing some pretty nice AI there.
Yeah, last last 30 days. All creaties 2.7K. Not bad.
Pretty good.
That's really good.
Okay, for this category, that's must be fantastic, right?
What's everybody knows what this is doing on the market.
Yeah. What's not good is five playables. [laughter]
They said I couldn't make ads without
the dev [music] team. They said I couldn't understand the tech. Guess what? I just made a fully [music] working gorgeous top to play. While eating noodles [music] and watching trash TV and taking care of my daughter, all thanks to Playable Makeup. No coat, no stress, [music] no cheap hair. target this though. Is that really the best UA channel for a game like this?
That's a very good question, Felix.
Most probably not that much. And this is the first time I'm saying like I wouldn't I mean I still would push up even just to test the waters because with five playables you don't really test the waters. It's just like okay whatever. It's very very small. But if we look at here actually not here okay let's do analyze other advertising they were running like a lot of a lot of
appin in the past days and it was look it was one of the biggest channels right it's still fluctuating and if we do let's say last 90 days I mean Facebook was the biggest and now finally they started doing some uploving, right? So, it's it's still very f Oh, wait a second. So, it's weeks. So, let's do days. So, now it's it's looking actually better like this where where they started in like let's say June. It was only Facebook unity admob and now they're diversific
diversified
the diversify diversifying diversifying the the genomics which is great. This is how needs to be done. That's why they they are still growing and you have 2,700 critters. Amazing [ __ ] Amazing [ __ ] It is a little worrying that like the Apple went up and now it went down. And I'm pretty sure it's because of the five
playables that we we have here. But regardless like this is very good setup. I mean again reminds me how because it's all kind of gameplay like do this do that you will upgrade something and then you go to game play. And this some of these are definitely performing really well because they're there for a long time and it shows pretty much the game plan explaining that's that's what I'm trying to say an interesting setting images as well. I will show you the the Facebook stuff. They could work a little bit more on these longer videos pretty much like in 30 plus seconds which there are some but these ones
the ones looks good.
Yeah, you can you can you can show them. I mean I see I mean I seen all lot of them I all these like interesting hooks the ones obviously again it comes back to
to the different types of the gameplay and the the merging inside let's see this is quite nice so I mean they know what they're doing
of course
which for sure
yeah I mean of course you know Oh, they Oh, wait a second. Like, who is this guy? Like, it reminds me someone from a from a game.
This guy.
This? No, this this guy. This old guy.
This guy?
Yes.
The usual archetype of like elder whatever character
reminds me someone from a different game. Anyway, what they could potentially do, but it's I mean, I think it would be more of a trap rather than just a win. The top heroes creatives.
Oh,
but
which ones? Like which ones? Like
the ones that actually look like some of the top heroes creatives actually look like this game.
Exactly. Exactly. [laughter]
They don't even need to change that.
They don't even need to change anything. Just just cut the end card.
That's it.
Yes.
And it would still fit. I mean, it's that's that's a question mark for me like if that would be a good way to go or not really. I would say
still the visual kind of goes for the hardcore PC some people.
Yeah. And this even though it's higher CPI for sure, it's still getting a lot like a high LTV as well because you're targeting the the players that actually convert with this. And that's the most important part because if you then suddenly pump all all the like tower like top heroes like let's call them mis misled players like it's not going to work that well
although visually
or what
yeah they would turn
it's a volume play it's a volume
exactly and the volume
it's it's going to show you like very low game metrics I'm I'm like absolutely positive like that would that's what
and they don't have the onboarding to
kind of ups absorb that because
Exactly. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
All these games that do that, they have the accessible onboarding of idol RPG.
That's why they can absorb that. This is hardcore from the start.
From the beginning.
Put another way, you don't think that basically the wide funnel would get even users to floor one round six where rewarded ads come out.
I don't think so. No. And even even though even if you get there like it's you won't save this.
What would you achieve?
You won't save it with ads. We would need to put like like X XP hero level of ad placements and the aggressiveness of
12 47 is 12.
Yeah.
No, it's like Spider-Man like it's hardcore.
Yeah. Yeah. Exactly.
Yeah. Yeah. Do you want to show the
the guy? Yeah. Yeah, I can. I can.
The guy doesn't really need to care even there about this. That's a nice AI one by the way.
This is really nice. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. It's like again looks like an anime literally. Yeah,
but you see it's AI because you see the flaws there. Like there's obvious flaws
like
very obvious flaws.
So
very obvious flaws. Nothing really to it
here. Felix, I'm just I'm just sitting quietly like
Yeah, flaws. Yeah, everywhere. Totally [laughter] see it.
No, I mean I can I can see I can see it's not not an image, just like other flaws. The video flaws, man. That's that's okay.
Give me Give me the screen.
Okay. Okay. So I work with this a lot of
a lot of flaws.
A lot of flaws like during the day. Oh my god. Oh yeah.
Yeah. This is pretty nice.
Yeah, it is nice.
But this is top hero 66. What?
Yeah. Top her. I guess it's some code or whatn not.
Yeah. I mean it's obviously.
Yeah. Yeah. But again, you see this this is
Yeah. Yeah.
This is quite nice. Like it's combination of like AI plus no AI stuff. Most probably heavy seconds video.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah,
that's there. Uh, there was this one. This was also quite nice.
Yeah,
to actual like I don't know even how to call this.
What? Like it's this is the hero. Yeah, narrative.
Story narrative most probably.
And again, it looks like this kind of
it's still this the hero from the game. So,
yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it's her.
It has some connection.
This is some very nice cling minmax. I don't know which model they use. Oh no. It's all sea dense, man.
Most probably.
It's all sea dense.
This one. This one's really nice.
Oh, this reminds me of uh the ones when they were riding the hamsters.
Yes. King hamster hamster riders.
This looks like looks very very good. The hamster hamster emotion.
See, Felix, anytime he's grumpy, we just need to show him a hamster. A hamster.
I'm going to buy a hamster. Dude, you want a cute hamster right here. Oh my god, look at the way
I got him a URL and stuff. Now, next thing I'm going to buy him a hamster. This is the only thing he could actually level.
Yeah.
Also, this by the way, this is this is
this is the best performing, man. This is best performing for Kingshot and and game Game of Thrones also dragon fire as well. Like this is
the static.
Yes.
Yes. You know why? Why this static is important?
Because it's for the hardcore gamers. Like it shows you the progression of all the all the no. It's the tier list.
Tier list. Yes,
it's a tier list. There's literally a website called tier lists and you do like streamers do it, videos, everybody. And what you do, you pretty much order some content or what? You don't know how to make a
list. I want to see go for overg hero. I don't know this. I'm not a hardcore like games.
It's literally called like tier maker. Create a tier list of anything. It's like very important stuff for any game ever. And what you do here, you pretty much go there and like you create the tier list and again like okay I'm going to put this guy here, this guy here, this guy here, this guy is that and like there's 20 minutes 30 minutes videos and the first thing when you play a game you go and check which is the tier list.
Yeah,
that that's how it works. I know it's new to you Felix and it looks like you're looking at fire but this is how the world works.
So that's what you do before you play a game.
I just play it for fun.
Why?
No. Yeah, I know. to have fun, to relax, to watch ads.
No, you need to you need to
you go find the tier list. That's what you
But you agree with this, Met?
Of course.
Of course I agree, but I don't really go to find a tier list. But, you know, like you're talking to a guy who's the first thing he what he does is just to find a guide and like which build should he should he play and then then then he goes to and play. quite easy. Like you you get into an RPG, you get some equipment or something drops. How do you know if it's good? You don't. So, you go and check the T list. Should we upgrade it or not? It's very simple.
Yeah, it's very simple. Like someone else is dictating how Yakub should play the game and how
someone else is the stats of these things. It's the stats. It's the design.
Yeah, I know. I know. I know. I'm just
I know you learned something new today, Felix. We can do a tier list next time.
Yeah. Like explain for anything,
man. Like Jakob, this is your this is your next soul episode. Dear lists, how to make a deer list,
dude. Please. Yeah, I'm going to watch that. I had no idea.
Yeah, exactly. You You're going to see the news like all these things. I thought you put all the stats into AI.
I think we should I think we should we should end here. [laughter]
Yeah,
this is this is it. 5 mil. Great job, guys. I think this is a good start for like scaling more. The creatives are very important. We know that. Let's see how it goes. And good luck. And also guys, thanks for for listening.
See you in the Slack channel. Obviously.
Obviously.
Cheers.
Go make a tea list. Go make a te.
Bye-bye.
Bye.
Ciao.
Ciao. I got T.

Overgeared Hero represents a significant shift in the mobile RPG landscape by successfully bridging the gap between Asian-developed mid-core mechanics and the competitive United States market. By synthesizing a traditional idle gacha chassis with an innovative inventory-management roguelite core, the title has achieved a stable daily revenue of approximately $100,000. This financial performance is geographically balanced, with the United States leading at 24 percent of revenue, followed closely by Japan and Korea, demonstrating that complex, strategy-heavy gameplay can achieve global resonance when executed with high-quality design.
The game’s primary competitive advantage lies in its unique meta-progression system, which allows players to upgrade starting gear outside of standard recipe constraints. This design choice creates a sophisticated spend-depth lever, enabling developers to scale difficulty dynamically while maintaining long-term player investment. Unlike many competitors that rely on aggressive interstitial advertising or misleading creative assets, the game employs a refined monetization strategy featuring 12 rewarded ad placements. This approach respects the preferences of a hardcore, pixel-art-focused audience that prioritizes strategic depth over the high-volume, casual-style engagement typical of the broader mobile market.
Growth strategies for the title emphasize high-lifetime-value users over broad-funnel acquisition. By utilizing targeted creative assets such as tier lists and instructional content rather than mass-market advertising, the developers have successfully cultivated a dedicated player base. While user acquisition is diversified across major platforms like Facebook and AppLovin, the game’s complex onboarding process serves as a deliberate filter, ensuring that the title remains optimized for players who value its intricate mechanics. This focus on depth over mass appeal has proven to be a sustainable model for maintaining profitability in a crowded and often volatile industry.
