The data platform provider GRID and game publisher Ubisoft have launched the Rainbow Six Siege Data Portal (R6DP), a specialized tool designed to support professional esports teams. The primary purpose of the portal is to provide teams within the BLAST R6 esports ecosystem with access to comprehensive in-game telemetry and match data, facilitating advanced talent evaluation, strategic planning, and performance analysis.
The R6DP features a secure, user-friendly interface that allows teams to search, filter, and download match data through a fully automated ingestion system. By providing these analytical capabilities, the platform aims to professionalize coaching and competitive preparation. Access to the portal is provided free of charge to professional teams, with implementation beginning during Stage 1 of the 2024 season and continuing through the BLAST R6 Manchester Major.
This initiative stems from a multi-year partnership established in 2023 between GRID and Ubisoft, which was initially leveraged to provide official data assets for the 2023 BLAST R6 Atlanta Major. The launch underscores a broader industry trend toward integrating sophisticated data analytics into competitive gaming. GRID, which serves as an official data platform for several major titles including League of Legends, VALORANT, and PUBG, continues to expand its role in providing telemetry, integrity, and distribution services for AAA publishers and independent studios alike.
