*Emergency Episode* TikTok is Banned in the US! Now what?

Tik Tok is banned in the US or they wrote well I woke up to the email where they said Tik Tok ban law was upheld Yesterday by the Supreme Court and it will take effect in the new United States tomorrow January 19 which is [Music] today making those coins R jack up Des World chasing the we the two and a half Gamers the midnight crew talking you ads and game design to bring in the inside we're rocking those vibes till the early daylight on the pr tracking data through the cyers Felix like a wizard in Disguise Jack CS us to the two and a half Gamers talking smack slow hockey STI got your backs are beautiful they light the way click it fast don't delay ah aha

[Music] hello hello welcome this is an emergency episode my name is mat Lich and and we are your host we don't have the half gamer because he's on the uh on the plane to London a Pocket Gamer and this emergency episode is about the Tik Tok ban so as you might know Tik Tok is banned in the US or they wrote well I woke up to the email where they said Tik Tok ban law was upheld Yesterday by the Supreme Court and it will take effect in the new United States tomorrow January 19 which is today this means access to the app will be temporarily unavailable starting this evening Saturday January 18th which was my birthday by the way so thank you very much US government for giving me great birthday present anyway uh they're

doing everything in their power to ensure that Tik Tok continues to thrive as your home for Limitless creativity and business growth so this is it and then few minutes ago surprise surprise ban was lifted so they just s an email we're excited to let you know that as of today Tik Tok will become available for the majority of the US users so over the course of Sunday which is now add campaigns that include us audiences will resume operating and delivering ads to us-based users so again thank you very much yeah let's put some context between this just press releases so what happens is seems uh Tik Tok can its fans and uh close down the app itself yeah Tik Tok Tik Tok itself calls down the app itself on Saturday before the Sunday deadline because the high court kind of

the law that was Banning it was upheld so yes their rejection or whatever the term didn't go through so because they were scared they pretty much went full on their own p on their own portfolio and shut it down including Marvel snap the way and mobile bang Legend mobile Legends Bang Bang Yes uh and then and then uh because Mr Trump is coming to the office on Monday 20th uh they got an assurance from him that he will extend this deadline by 90 days to get some leverage or not leverage to get some I guess time and discuss yeah to negotiate probably what's happening is that American government wants to rather than ban Tik Tok wants to get Tik Tok which means it should be divested to some American company or as you've seen the rumor on Bloomberg is that

Chinese government is okay if Elon Musk stes it so because of course he's super with already have Tesla there in China yeah or uh or some other kind of American entity because the law said either you divest it or we ban it so both of these Alternatives works there I said it's not going to happen you heard me saying that multiple times I said it's going to happen and it happened and for 13 hours I was yes there you go yeah you're right yes so both of us were right basically because now yeah you were laughing in the morning I'm laughing now still it can still go the other way it can still be banned man it's too much money in Stakes it's never going to happen again we'll see we'll see again we'll see so and this episode is as long as the Tik Tok ban was live so thank you much for listening see you next time byebye [Music]
