This new gaming festival will be held in Stockholm, Sweden.
The ESL FACEIT Group has announced the expansion of its gaming festival portfolio with the addition of DreamHack Stockholm, scheduled to take place from November 22–24, 2024, at the Stockholmsmässan venue in Sweden. This new event is positioned as a significant addition to the company's existing Swedish footprint, complementing the established DreamHack Summer festival held annually in Jönköping.
The festival will feature a comprehensive range of programming typical of the DreamHack brand, including professional and grassroots esports tournaments, live music, film screenings, and interactive sessions with content creators. Elgiganten has been secured as the official presenting partner for the inaugural Stockholm event, with ticket sales slated to begin on March 26, 2024. Further details regarding specific tournament structures and additional partnerships remain forthcoming.
This expansion reflects the broader growth of live gaming events within the Swedish market and internationally. DreamHack operates as a division of the ESL FACEIT Group, which is owned by the Savvy Games Group, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. By maintaining both the Jönköping and Stockholm locations, the organization aims to broaden its reach to both existing gaming enthusiasts and new participants, reinforcing its commitment to the European esports landscape.
