The United States was a significant market, contributing 32% of total downloads and 55% of all revenue.
The global launch of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile has yielded modest financial results, generating $2.3 million in in-app purchase revenue during its first two weeks. Data provided by AppMagic indicates that while the title achieved 20.7 million downloads in this period, revenue performance has trended downward following an initial peak of $245,500 on the day after its March 21, 2024, release. The United States serves as the primary market, contributing 55% of total revenue and 32% of total downloads.
These figures represent a significant underperformance when compared to the 2019 launch of Call of Duty: Mobile. During its own initial two-week window, the predecessor generated $14 million in revenue and reached 66 million downloads. While Call of Duty: Mobile averaged approximately $1 million in daily revenue at launch, Warzone Mobile has seen its daily earnings settle at roughly $140,000.
Several structural differences between the two titles may influence these disparate outcomes. Call of Duty: Mobile was developed as a standalone experience by TiMi Studio Group, whereas Warzone Mobile was produced by Activision’s internal studios with a focus on cross-progression. Because the latter allows players to utilize shared battle passes and items across PC and console platforms, some consumer spending may occur outside of the mobile application ecosystem. Despite these mitigating factors, the initial launch metrics for the high-budget title remain notably lower than industry expectations for the franchise.
