This initiative will host a series of all-women collegiate Valorant competitions across North America.
Xbox, Paidia Gaming, and ESPORTSU have entered a partnership to host a series of all-women collegiate Valorant competitions across North America. The initiative aims to increase representation and provide a dedicated platform for female collegiate players to compete at a high level. The collaboration centers on the Collegiate Esports Commissioner’s Cup (CECC), with the qualifying tournament winner advancing to the finals held in Arlington, Texas, in May.
The program includes the launch of The Paidia Cup: Women’s Valorant Matchmaking Season, which runs from February through May. This season features weekly matchups broadcast on the ESPORTSU Twitch channel, culminating in a showmatch at the CECC Texas event where the inaugural Paidia Cup champion will be crowned. Beyond the competitive matches, the organizers are producing two content series: Road to CECC, which highlights team coaches, and Cast This, an initiative focused on identifying and developing new shoutcasting talent.
This effort reflects a broader industry trend of fostering diversity and inclusion within competitive gaming through structured collegiate pathways. By utilizing the Paidia Gaming platform, which is specifically designed to support inclusive competitive environments, the partners are creating a pipeline for collegiate women to gain professional exposure. The initiative underscores the ongoing commitment of major gaming brands and collegiate esports organizations to professionalize and expand opportunities for underrepresented demographics within the North American esports ecosystem.
