WaveClear Ltd., an Israel-based developer, has launched an AI-powered coaching application designed to assist players of the popular PC title League of Legends. The primary thesis behind the software is that traditional training methods often overlook the critical role of player mindset in competitive performance. By focusing on real-time mental readiness, the application aims to help players overcome performance plateaus, commonly referred to as Elo-hell, which the company estimates affects more than 80% of competitive gamers.
The application utilizes proprietary AI technology to monitor a player’s focus, mechanics, and stress levels during matches. When the software detects a decline in focus, a dedicated widget provides real-time guidance to facilitate mental recovery while simultaneously offering game-specific skill improvement tips. The tool is designed to evolve alongside the user, adapting its feedback as the player’s performance metrics improve.
Currently available for free on the Overwolf App Store, the software is supported by an advertising-based revenue model and requires no registration or personal data. While the initial release is limited to League of Legends on PC, the developer intends to expand support to other gaming platforms, including mobile, console, and cloud-based environments. Future development goals include creating tools for streamers, professional teams, and broadcasters. To validate the efficacy of its mindset-training approach, WaveClear has established a partnership with the Academy of Art University to conduct academic research studies beginning in the second quarter of 2025.
