For the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, covering April through June 2026, Ubisoft reported a revenue of €268.2 million.
Ubisoft’s recent performance and operational updates highlight a period of significant financial contraction alongside historical security challenges. In the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, covering April through June 2026, the company experienced a 13.7% year-over-year revenue decline, totaling €268.2 million. Net bookings also fell by 9.2% to €255.8 million. This downturn is largely attributed to a high base effect, as the company lacked major new releases during this period compared to the previous year’s performance. Consequently, share prices dropped by 14.18% following the release of these results.
The company’s revenue remains heavily reliant on its back-catalog, which generated €221 million, or 86.4% of total income, despite a 15.1% decline in that segment. Geographically, North America remains the primary market, accounting for 47% of total revenue. By platform, consoles led with 46% of revenue, followed by PC at 27% and mobile at 19%. While major titles were absent, the mobile game Invincible: Guarding the Globe achieved record financial results, bolstered by the release of the fourth season of the associated animated series.
In addition to financial reporting, the company previously addressed a cybersecurity incident that caused disruptions to its games and services. Following an investigation conducted with external experts, the company confirmed that all services were restored and found no evidence that player personal information was accessed or compromised. As a precautionary measure during the incident, the company implemented a mandatory company-wide password reset to secure its systems.
