Top Mobile Games Worldwide for September 2019 by Downloads

The mobile gaming landscape in September 2019 was defined by the significant market entry of Nintendo’s Mario Kart Tour, which secured the top position globally with approximately 86.2 million installs. The United States and Brazil served as the primary markets for this title, accounting for 15 percent and 12 percent of its total downloads, respectively. Following this leader, Sand Balls by SayGames claimed the second spot with over 39.6 million installs, driven largely by user acquisition in India and Brazil.

The top five most downloaded games for the month were completed by Fun Race 3D, PUBG Mobile, and Garena Free Fire. Beyond the top-tier rankings, the data highlights notable growth trends, specifically identifying Cool Goal! by Gismart as the fastest-growing title. That game experienced an 85 percent month-over-month increase in downloads, rising from 8.1 million in August to 15 million in September 2019.

These findings are derived from the Store Intelligence platform, which tracks unique installs across the Apple App Store and Google Play worldwide. The scope of the analysis covers the period from August 1, 2019, through September 30, 2019. The methodology excludes pre-installed applications and third-party Android stores, focusing on aggregate installs of all app versions to provide a standardized view of global mobile gaming performance.
