Global esports organization Gen.G has entered into a partnership with Theta Labs to launch a bilingual conversational AI mascot, Genrang.bot. Designed to enhance fan engagement, the chatbot provides users with trivia, match schedules, and team-specific data. The tool is currently accessible to the public via the official Gen.G website and the organization’s Discord server.
The technology powering the chatbot is built on Theta EdgeCloud, a decentralized infrastructure that utilizes over 30,000 distributed edge nodes. By integrating resources from major cloud providers such as Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services, the platform claims to deliver more than 80 PetaFLOPS of always-available GPU compute power. While financial details of the agreement remain undisclosed, the collaboration reflects a broader industry trend of esports entities adopting AI-driven solutions to deepen community interaction and provide real-time information to global audiences.
