This strategic partnership grants Migu broadcast rights for the Peace Elite League (PEL). It also requires PEL teams to produce content for the platform.
Tencent has unveiled its strategic roadmap for the Peacekeeper Elite esports ecosystem in China, emphasizing increased commercial integration, technological innovation, and international expansion. The plan centers on the Peace Elite League (PEL), which remains headquartered in Chengdu. A significant component of this strategy is a new three-year partnership with China Mobile, granting the telecommunications giant media rights and content creation opportunities via its Migu streaming platform.
The league is introducing technical enhancements to improve viewer engagement, most notably the integration of real-time heart rate monitoring for professional players, which will be displayed during broadcasts. Furthermore, the league is actively diversifying its competitive landscape by opening participation to non-Chinese players and welcoming international organizations, such as Wolves Esports, into the fold.
Commercial and competitive operations remain robust, with the PEL Summer Split Finals featuring a prize pool of ¥11.24 million RMB (approximately $1.56 million USD). The franchise continues to maintain corporate partnerships with brands including McDonald’s, OnePlus, Stride, and TT Voice. Looking ahead, the Peacekeeper Elite title is positioned as a key component of major international events, including the Riyadh Masters and the Hangzhou Asian Games, reinforcing its status as a premier mobile esports property within the Chinese market.
