Summary

The Los Angeles-based esports organization Sentinels has entered into a strategic partnership with Theta Network to integrate an AI-powered fan-service agent into its digital ecosystem. Scheduled for deployment in February 2026, the AI tool will be embedded within the organization’s official website and Discord server to provide automated, round-the-clock support. While financial terms of the agreement remain undisclosed, the initiative aims to streamline fan engagement by providing instant access to match schedules, results, player information, merchandise updates, and ticketing details.

The AI agent is built on Theta EdgeCloud, a hybrid cloud-edge computing platform that utilizes a distributed network of over 30,000 edge nodes alongside cloud infrastructure from Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services. This technical architecture is designed to deliver significant GPU compute power, enabling the agent to handle high-volume inquiries efficiently. By automating these routine interactions, Sentinels intends to improve the user experience while allowing internal staff to focus on content creation and community building.

This partnership reflects a broader trend of AI adoption within the professional gaming industry. Sentinels joins a growing roster of organizations—including 100 Thieves, Cloud9, Gen.G, and various traditional sports franchises—that have leveraged Theta’s technology to enhance digital fan engagement. The collaboration underscores the increasing reliance on decentralized computing and artificial intelligence to manage the complex, high-frequency communication demands of modern esports communities.
