The agreement formalizes an ongoing professional relationship between the two entities.
Riot Games and Indian tournament organizer NODWIN Gaming have entered into a two-year partnership to manage the Valorant Challengers League in South Asia. This agreement formalizes a continued professional relationship between the two entities, as NODWIN Gaming previously facilitated Valorant Championship Tour and Valorant Conquerors Championship events in the region during 2021 and 2022.
Under the terms of the new deal, the parties will collaborate on the operational execution of the league, as well as the acquisition of sponsorships and media rights. The league is scheduled to operate annually from January through July. For the 2023 season, which commenced in March, the competition featured a total prize pool of $140,000 USD. Beyond the immediate financial incentives, the league serves as a critical pathway for regional teams, offering a qualifying opportunity for the APAC Valorant Ascension event. Success in this tournament provides teams with a chance to secure a coveted slot in the 2024 APAC Pacific League.
While the specific financial terms of the partnership remain undisclosed, the collaboration underscores a strategic effort to stabilize and grow the professional Valorant ecosystem within South Asia. By aligning tournament operations with broader regional development goals, the agreement aims to integrate South Asian talent into the larger APAC competitive structure.
