Riot Games and Paysafe have formed a strategic partnership. This agreement extends through the end of the 2025 season.
Riot Games has entered into a strategic partnership with global payment processing company Paysafe, naming it the main partner for the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) EMEA and Valorant Game Changers EMEA. The agreement, which covers the remainder of the 2024 season and extends through the end of 2025, integrates Paysafe’s paysafecard solution into the Valorant esports ecosystem. While the financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed, the partnership aims to increase brand visibility and user engagement through various promotional channels.
The collaboration includes prominent branding across VCT EMEA broadcasts, social media channels, and physical presence at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin. Attendees at these events will receive special promotions to encourage the use of paysafecard for in-game cash purchases. Furthermore, the partnership features collaborative content initiatives, such as the branded THRIFTY in-game segment, which highlights teams that secure round wins despite significant economic disadvantages, and a series of short-form videos covering player analysis and tournament highlights.
This partnership focuses on the EMEA region and aligns with the ongoing VCT 2024 Stage 2 competition, where teams are currently competing for a $250,000 prize pool. By leveraging its payment processing and digital wallet capabilities, Paysafe seeks to deepen its integration within the competitive gaming market, utilizing the high-visibility platform of Riot Games’ premier Valorant circuits to reach a dedicated audience of esports fans.
