Each team fields two drivers in the premier oval sim racing series. The total prize pool for the season is $300,000.
The 2024 eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series marks a significant shift in its competitive landscape with the introduction of six new teams. This expansion brings the total number of participating organizations to 20, each fielding two drivers to compete for a $300,000 prize pool. The series, which serves as the premier level of oval sim racing, is scheduled to begin its 14th season on February 13, 2024, at the virtual Daytona International Speedway.
Notable additions to the roster include prominent multi-titled esports organizations M80 and Oxygen Esports, both of which have expanded their reach into sim racing. Other new entrants include Spire Motorsports, a team active in the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity series; Kevin Harvick Inc., founded by the retired NASCAR champion; the off-road-focused Nitro Circus Sim Racing Team; and the German-based organization BS+COMPETITION. These new teams replace outgoing participants, such as XSET, and reflect a broader trend of professional motorsports entities and established esports brands integrating into the digital racing ecosystem.
The competition remains a high-stakes environment, with $100,000 of the total prize pool reserved for the winner of the playoff series, which concludes on October 1, 2024, before a live audience. The league continues to feature a diverse mix of participants, including teams affiliated with Formula 1, NASCAR, and IndyCar personalities, alongside organizations dedicated to various other esports titles. This influx of new teams underscores the sustained interest in professional sim racing as a viable commercial and competitive platform within the broader esports industry.
