The International Esports Federation (IESF) has officially announced the competitive lineup for the World Esports Championship 2024, scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from November 11 to 19. The event serves as a global, nation-focused competition designed to highlight the growth of the esports ecosystem and foster international unity through gaming.
The tournament will feature seven distinct competitions across five primary game titles: Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, the eFootball series, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), and PUBG Mobile. A notable addition to the 2024 program is the expansion of the women’s competitive circuit, which now includes a dedicated league for MLBB alongside the established women’s competition for Counter-Strike 2.
The selection process for the championship is currently underway, with national qualifiers being held to determine the representatives for each participating country. Successful players from these national rounds will proceed to regional qualifiers, ultimately determining the field for the final event in Riyadh. Leadership from the IESF and the Saudi Esports Federation emphasized that the championship is intended to captivate global audiences while inspiring a new generation of esports enthusiasts.
